Not sure if this has been said about the thanking god thing, but it strikes me as odd that anyone would thank God for making it possible. Firstly, it is a bit of an insult to your trainign team who have worked extremely hard, only for the credit to be given to the cloud man. Secondly, if they truly beleived it was their faith in God that won them the fight, they wouldn't bother training at all, the result is pre determined. Johan Cruyff one moving to Barcelona said that every Spanish players prays before each game, so if God existed, every match would be a draw.
Often that’s just an excuse for home cooked scorecards when in reality it would never of gone the other way ie Golovkin v Canelo.
Getting called a hater for stating a fact or your opinion usually from folk who only see things in black or white. Good example of this when I joined the forum is how I kept on being told that I couldn’t possibly like both Floyd and Pac,had to be one or the other apparently?
The tainted meat, tainted supplements and now nasal spray are all over used obvious ready made excuses. No matter that the guy tested positive for a banned PED,no matter that said guy is even repentant and doesn’t even think it’s his fault, let’s give em the benefit of th doubt and give em a token six month ban which just happens to be the usual time spent between fights anyway.what a fricken joke and anyone who thinks that’s ok speaks volumes about their own sense of morality and justice.
At the time of the fight I did genuinely see it as a lucky "hail mary" punch because Garcia threw it without even looking and with his eyes closed. But since then I realised he that's how he throws his left hooks. Bit weird but obviously woks.
'he's asking for too much money' this coming from fighters who are not ppv or really hav much say in who gets paid what - real life 'britard' terrible term to describe your british ancestors, it also doesnt make sense. - forum life
“He won the story of the fight” Hasn’t been used a lot but it’s quickly getting up there with the most annoying stuff I’ve heard, along with grands like “it is what it is” , “more telling shots” and “i’ll fight him when the money is right”
In the build up to a fight "This has been the best training camp of my life" or "I'm in the best shape of my career". A fighter who many see as past his best starts winning rounds in impressive fashion then "he's rolling back the years". For UK fans of boxing there was a Scottish commentator called Jim Watt who was a walking cliche machine, he'd spit out the same ones every single card for more than 30 years, I'm not going to list them all as it's been done before on here.
