Joshua has faced the far, far superior fighters. Joshua has faced three men who were deserved top-5-rated heavyweights. Wilder has faced one. Joshua's fourth best win, Whyte, would be Wilders' second and head and shoulders above everyone else. Joshua has 4 of the 5 best combined victories between he and Wilder. Breazeale, Takam, and Martin would be Wilders' 3-5 best wins. But he did not fight those fights and does not have those wins. Joshua does. And they are his 5-7 best.
If Wilder peat Wlad and Povetkin in the manor that AJ did, people would be grading them wins a 9/10. Due to AJ being so much more popular, a lot of the hardcore boxing fans seem to find it impossible to credit him where it is due. How anyone can argue Wilder's resume over AJ's is unbelievable.
Are you just winding me up? If you are serious and you can't see the difference in level of opposition, especially after 22 fights each then I can't help you. This video explains it, rather long but if you have some spare time he goes through Wilders and AJ's resumes and takes a look at the opposition. This content is protected
C'mon man. You had the easiest thing of all time to do but managed to bring up quantity of fights. That is irrelevant. First of all, we are talking about current totality. Secondly, time matters more than number of fights. Otherwise Jeffries is the absolute unquestioned GOAT. No close second in the history of boxing. And Julio Cesar Chavez, madly overrated, I mean he didn't fight anybody in his first 40! Nobody! ^ I hope you see how irrelevant going by fight # up a resume is.
"Nearly decapitated by Price" LOL. Goes to show the level of trolling and bias here. Look, compare his resume to most modern heavyweights at this stage/number of fights and it's pretty damn good. Lennox Lewis (one of the all time greats) was fighting Derek Williams and Mike Dixon (who? exactly) on his 21st and 22nd bout.
Holyfield had a bum heart in the mid 90's.. His heart condition didn't stop him from giving Lennox Lewis a hard fight. 60 year old Ortiz beat Jennings easier than Wladimir Klitschko did.. Jennings apparently made Wlad look old and shot..lol.
Surely anybody scoring Heavyweights out of 10 and only gives .5 difference between Malik Scuba Scott and Alexander Povetkin is either massivly deluded and cant accept that some Heavys out there are better than American Heavies, or they are just a straight up troller. There are some deluded fools out there, one youtube opinionist was outraged that Mike Tyson said Anthony Joshua was better than Wilder, they could not understand how an American would think a Brit is better than an American, he even worded it that was. But there are some trolls too and i think Ellerbe knows enough about this sport to know all that he typed is utter bull****, so hes a troll. Another jealous Joshua hating, nationalistic troll.
Yeah it's funny, I like your scores, but some of your descriptions are hilarious. Price did not nearly decapitate Povetkin, why be a drama queen? Pov got stunned, and stumbled backwards because he lost his footing... please open your eyes more maybe you were drinking too much beer or consuming too many nachos. Carlos Takam was a BS stoppage, but it was BS for Takam not going down on his shield, AJ was winning every round, and it was a one sided fight. Klitchko was a tiny bit rusty, but came in the best shape ever... unlike Fury on his return, and Klitchko is always training and staying box fit... he is probably still training right now as we speak even though he retired. So he wasn't out of condition like you make out to be. Dominic is pathetic, he should be ranked 1.5 pts higher than Martin at most only because he showed great heart and durability, but no desire to fight back or actually find a way to win. He is a fantastic punch bag, high quality. Whyte is one of AJ's best opponents, especially given that he was in the worst shape ever, and had an injury... he came to win... he stuck around for a win... and went down on his shield... he didn't run... he didn't hide... he fought back and gave as good as he got... he is a REAL MAN, real warrior. Full credit for his fight. Molina is a joke too, but higher ranked than Breazeale.
Some absolute shockers on here the biggest being Scott's probable dive - which whilst I don't think Wilder orchestrated, he would def KO Scott IMO but still happened - and a close second being Stiverne. I never thought Stiverne was any good and then finding out he was seriously ill afterwards just took even more shine off of the comfortable points win. Ortiz is being hugely overrated here too with no mention of his age ala Wlad and no mention of the fact he won a lot of rounds and nearly had Wilder out of there in the 7th. Breazeale prob KO's Washington and as for Molina he was a crap win for both in which Joshua laid down a much shorter beating on him without losing a second of a round.
It's quite telling to me that it's impossible to post something about AJ (which I thought was largely fair) without getting a tirade of BUT WHAT ABOUT WILDER'S RESUME?
