If there's a guy you don't want to take advice from on power punching it's Paulie.

Its simple physics like ive stated .

Punching down you are going with gravity and greater velocity .

Punching up does not increase power or force it decreases it despite what mike Tyson says ,he's wrong. ( those telling me im wrong bc Tyson says so.....lol . )

Its why wilder has a great k.o record and his best k.o was against short Stiverne ( an actual K.O ) ..it was a perfect opponent who stood like a deer in head lights and why guys like Lewis had a devastating over hand right too .

This is the problem with people telling me wilder will K.o Fury easily, they exclude actual trajectory of where the punch is coming from and what the fighter ( wilder ) usually has to hit them with ..which is a wild right hand coming from outer space downward winding up on them...the Ortiz TKO ( it wasn't a K.O ) was ended withan uppercut but they were set up by downed punches flailing away uncalculated shots in frenzy mode. ( half of them were illegal throughout the fight too..lol )

We'll see just how good of an actual k.o artist he is here because its not a short guy or an inexperienced unproven Washington who really also had the ref help by holding his arm deciding wheather or not to stop it as wilder took a free shot at him...lol

LMAO! Gravity makes you punch harder. You can't make this stuff up.

Punching down is not fighting gravity which would generate more force..you cant speed up anything going upward its basic for those with sense .If you took a physics class you would understand it applies to punching mechanics as does anything ...I get most of you wilderettes are uneducated so I wont hold it against you.

Assuming your physics calculations are correct, and punching up decreases power, why is the uppercut an effective punch? And is E=MC2 really true?

lmao I have an engineering degree and took a year of college physics with physics majors. I probaby forgot more about physics than you evidently know.

You use more muscles in an uppercut even legs if you can get under an opponents body ,you are also using your oppenents movement because he has to be closer in range to land because it is a digging or shovel shot.

Why is any punch an effective punch..is there a non effective punch in boxing within the rules ? lol

Then your dumb as rocks if you cant distinguish how gravity would work with punching down as opposed to punching up which loses velocity in any motion and got a hand gifted grade bc the teacher was fed up with you...lol ...NEXT!

The effect that gravity would have on a punch would be infinitesimal compared to other factors but keep up the comedy. lol

Why is there a penalty in US foot ball for "unnecessary roughness"? Is there a necessary roughness?

Power from punches certainly comes from the legs, as you say. Marciano's punches for example came up from the floor. That's why some feather fisted guys throw "arm punches"...punching up or down doesn't matter, it's the use of the legs and TORQUE that matters. Agree?

It would matter if the punch was traveling in the opposite direction of the turning of the earth...punching towards the east is more effective.

It's the feng shui of boxing.
