we aren't to the point where it matters yet. Whyte will get a rematch first. Wilder or Fury (in the unlikely scenario he wins) will also get a shot at Joshua first.
After all...... look what this tiny little 6 foot Cruiserweight SOUTHPAW did to AJ. This content is protected
akin to Romanov-Wilder. on a seperate note, looking at the stands, they could just as well have held that meet in someones garage.
I know this isn’t a Fury thread and there’s obviously a huge difference between amateur and pro.. but people always reference Fury being dropped by Cunningham - but Fury was similar in age at that time to Joshua here. Shows how boxers, especially at heavyweight, will learn and develop in their early 20s. Maybe that’s why Peter Fury doesn’t seem that concerned about Hughie losing a couple of fights. People definitely place too much emphasis on the ‘0’.
they have always been concerned about furys' chin. why else has he never faced a decent big guy with power, except in title matches?
Lol at you bitter haters. You say Uysk CAN hurt Joshua but what you mean is you HOPE Uysk hurts Joshua.
We will get the chance to find out because after the Whyte match in April, AJs second fight of the year in Autumn will be against Usyk.
Whyte's counter left hook has proven to be a pretty hard and dangerous punch, I don't think Usyk has anything as big in his arsenal. But then he doesn't need it, he has other ways of winning other than just power. His movement will give Joshua issues and if he draws Joshua into a well timed counter who knows what could happen. Usyk is a very good counter puncher he lands cleanly enough and often enough he can break down almost anyone.
Not sure about that, both times he’s been knocked down in the pros he’s gone on to win the fight. There’s no evidence to suggest he has a weak chin.
That left hook that Whyte hurt Joshua with also dropped Parker and put Lucas Browne face first into the canvas asleep. Guess what, heavyweights land and it hurts. Funnily enough, if AJ hits Usyk with the same uppercut that put paid to Whyte and put WK on ***** street, I reckon Usyk might just be a little bit hurt too. Yet again, obvious agenda is........obvious
This is very true, however, it's worth noting that Usyk is more than hittable himself. I'd be more concerned as to whether Usyk can handle Joshua's power than the other way around. Once he tastes it, all bets are off, he could just go into a defensive shell and look to survive 12 like Parker did.
