Bowe had a great chin. Even when he was shot he took a severe beating from Golota and still didn't come close to being knocked out completely.

Foreman was 6'3 220lbs at his prime. Today you'd be calling him a blown up cruiserweight.

So are you saying that he wouldn't beat Bowe due to being too small??

I’m simply saying that prime Foreman was no physical monster like he is portrayed as in this forum. People talk as if he would bully the likes of Tyson and Bowe in the clinch and punch harder than them but that simply isn’t the case. Tyson was a lot more muscular - he was 220lbs at just 5’10 and Bowe outweighed him by - good 15lbs and was 2 inches taller. They would have easily handled Foreman’s so called amazing strength and power.

If prime Foreman was around in the 90s he would have been considered average in size.

You have a point. I think that prime Foreman and old Foreman get conflated as this one entity. Foreman was bigger and probably stronger in the 90s. 70s Foreman was faster, more aggressive and explosive, some of which may have been due to his being smaller. It's easier to haul 225 pounds around than 260 pounds.

As for Tyson, people conflate him too much with Frazier when I think Patterson would be a more apt comparison and Tyson was like a super or nuclear powered Patterson with a hell of a lot better chin. The fallacy, IMO, comes from thinking that Foreman would be able to put Tyson down with a single shot or just a few shots when nothing in his career states that that would be possible.

Geriatric Foreman was around in the 90's and won the lineal title. He got around quite fine for an old man. Lets not pretend 30 pounds of lard suddenly made it possible for him to compete or made him more imposing that the 70's. It's blatantly obvious the guy had some freakish traits.

The Foreman of the 90s had a fantastic chin due to all of his extra weight but he beat no one great. Even Tommy Morrison gave him a good beating.

He also stated that he didn't want to get in the ring with the Super heavyweights like Bowe and Lewis in the 90s.

Tyson had a great chin, one of the best I've seen, he took sustained beatings from Douglas, Holyfield and Lewis but only went down in the latter half of the fights. He was never knocked out or hurt early in any fight.

Unpopular opinion but i see it as 50/50 though i definitely see Bowe getting dropped a couple of times.

If Bowe could land on Holyfied, who is a far superior boxer to Foreman skill wise, what makes you think he can't land on Foreman ?!
