It's not nice to be called a quitter in the ring especially by a fellow professional and it shows Carl is still harbouring feelings for George. Is Froch right? Also has a good pop at Degale saying Eubank will batter him and he would stop him in 4. This content is protected
Carl has the ability to come across very unlikable in an interviews and that shined through here, IMO. He knows how to hold a grudge when most these guys couldn’t care less, it makes him look bitter and deluded. You can see he really enjoys revelling in groves misfortune whilst going on about how great he ended his own career. I just find the guy vomit inducing these days, doesn’t he realise it’s easy to say he would beat everyone now he is retired. Bring up Ward, always good for a laugh....
I’m surprised more haven’t mentioned this about Groves. Groves shook his head and was well aware of the count. He decided not to get back up.
He didn’t quit though. If you get hit with a sweet body shot you’re not getting up. Wonder if Froch thinks that about all fighters who have been stopped with a body shot...did Oscar De La Hoya quit against Hopkins or when Sanchez got stopped by Ward after winning first 6 rounds? Loved watching Froch but he really puts me off him when he starts banging on like this.
Hate when fighters talk about fellow boxers being quitters. Its bordering on dangerous. The last thing anyone wants is guys getting seriously injured off the back of trying to avoid the shame of being a quitter. When a mans had enough that should be good enough as long as he's had a proper go....which brook and groves etc did. Sometimes its not even in their control really anyway. Brook had a burst eye socket and groves was done by a body shot. At their worst their debilitating...shuts you down.
Froch is like a child when it comes to Groves. He beat him by KO - why the need to keep digging at him. Bizzare really
Froch can't get over the fact nobody in America wanted to see him in Vegas Vs Chavez Jr, so he still goes on about groves when he should be talking about Taylor Kessler and Abraham, just shows how much groves got under his skin.
A great fighter brilliant to watch had some great wins winning belts and the super 6 tournament, yet his career high comes against a ranked number 8 fighter at the time who stepped in, mentally destroyed him near enough bullied him first fight. Yet froch did brilliant to come back and win twice, but he can't let it go groves gives him nightmares still after that sky sports show with Nelson when groves taunted him he's gonna cry
