When I first started in the sport it was common to label this n that a duck. The more I learned and the more I knew, the more often I realized most of the ones that get listed aren't genuine ducks... and there are various circumstances that lead to those fights not happening. Almost every single fight listed in this thread is not a genuine duck. That being said... for the sake of the theme, I'll list... Winky ducking Hoya (yup...)
I'd like to see the source that Fury will not fight AJ. Fury is doing something that AJ won't--climbing in the ring with Wilder. Believe me, I do not fully blame AJ for that, but the fact is that Fury is the one who is again attempting to make history. I will be blunt that I think Fury will fight anyone as long as its for big money. He just doesn't take chances.
Boxing fans must never be allowed to forget about prime Roy's (ie. Roid) ducking of savage punchers. In fact, I have personally taken it upon myself to remind my fellow fans of it at regular intervals. Glass-jawed fighters ducking punchers might well be the sensible option but it's not one that leads down the path to true greatness or the one which will book them a seat in the halls of Valhalla.
Please explain. Mosley beat Oscar twice, Forrest and Winky each beat Mosley twice, yet Oscar never fought either one? Seems a little fishy. I don’t hold the Margarito fight against him since he was on his way out and their primes didn’t coincide with each other.
