Takam was stopped on his feet, quite controversially, Chisora stopped Takam more impressively and Chisora isn't regarded as much of a puncher. Parker went the distance with AJ, never dropped, Whyte dropped Parker. An inexperienced and green Whyte went rounds and was stopped but he was exhausted, chinny Breazeale went round after round getting hit clean. A 41 year old Klitschko who was inactive, got off the floor and survived deep in to the fight and was stopped on his feet. Joshua hits hard, no doubt, but he isn't a devastating puncher, this idea AJ hits like a prime Mike Tyson is a total myth.
Whyte's footwork is poor, it's why he couldn't keep Chisora off him and why he couldn't chase down and finish Helenius, I see Usyk dancing around Whyte and making him miss and pay for it all night.
For me Usyk is favorite against all, just a stroke of luck or an Ortiz, Povetkin, Miller,Wilder ultra aggressive can complicate him. Boxing he wins them all easy including Joshua To comment on a supposed fight against Fury, i would prefer to see him first against Wilder
You have to be in range to land a shot, and Whyte is an excellent counter puncher, he was born for it, it's in his genes. When Usyk get's into range the same way he had Bellew stalked against the ropes ... Whyte will give him something to remember. Whyte hits harder than Bellew upstairs and downstairs He has much greater punch resistance He has good engine despite what people think.. 12 rounds at 260 pushing the pace Besides... Whyte doesn't need to go all out in the beginning like Bellew he just needs to pace himself. Usyk has great chin so far.... Dillian is a different animal.
Yup. Precisely. Whyte would have to come in at around 220-230 to even live with Usyk and that’s never happening.
Usyk's biggest problem is that he will need to KO Joshua as the fight will be over here. Cos he sure as hell aint winning on the cards, though id give him a good shot at a decision win if all was legit and fair. A KO is a very big ask tho imo. He doesnt have big power, but he does time his punches through from good angles - as we saw tonight
The size is too much. Wilder, Fury, Joshua at 6 foot 6+ and the weight is too much for Usyk. Even Miller might be a problem because of the sheer weight advantage
Well it's all hypothetical at the moment and will be for quite some time. No way will Usyk go straight to the top HWs. He'll need acclimatise first by fighting a couple of cans - he can take his pick from ex Wilder opponents. The pastry chef would be a good one to start with.
