I have no problem with anyone picking Usyk as he matches Holyfield for size, strength, physicality and stamina, though I'd give the edge in power to Holyfield but, to claim Usyk schools Holyfield is outrageous. Holyfield is consensus ATG top 10 heavyweight and pretty much put the Cruiserweight Division on the map. He was equally as dominant as Usyk though I'd argue the Cruiserweight division is stronger today although Qawi and De Leon were no joke. Holyfield was way, way tougher than Bellew, Bellew only dreams of being as durable as EH, on top of that, EH had a far higher work rate, could get down into the trenches and had an unquenchable will to win. Usyk hasn't been fully stretched or tested either, that's why I see it as a very close toss up but, a schooling, no way.
If Usyk had been trained properly so that he could have reached his peak potential at 25 instead of being-- over the hill-- and going downhill at 32--I would consider him a real threat. Why the hell did it take him so long? He's through if he fights a big heavyweight- Wilder,Fury, and maybe even Joshua.
The first good southpaw Evander fought, he was at heavyweight and was the comfortable favorite....and he lost. And I rate Usyk as better than Moorer. Evander didn't have easy nights vs southpaws. It would be a hell of a fight, but I'd make Usyk a slight, but clear favorite
At HW he did but completely different weight divisions. Consider j Toney losing to thadzi but competing against world rated HWs. This would be at the new CW limit and holyfield had problems with former lhws like qawi who was 5ft 7. I don't think HW holyfield would have had as tough a fight with qawi but it's to do with the weight division they are competing in. This is why I think Usyk would win Still only my opinion
he competed with thazi and the weakened heavyweights, but didnt win with either group. you have no frekin point idiot. zero difference. amen to that
