    Fun fact.

Wilder and Usyk could have fought each other in the 2008 Olympics as both were in the same tournament on the same side of the bracket, they were one fight away from facing each other. Both would lose to Clemente Russo, however.

Well, Usyk is a masterclass boxer, and Wilder is a manufactured fraud who targets medically unfit opponents, so i will say Usyk with the caveat that the fight will never be made unless Oleksander loses a limb or an eye.

Wow, that is a neat fact. Didn't know. What a resume Russo had, too bad so many fighters like this never turn pro. Especially Italy for some reason, alot of great amateur fighter like him and Roberto Cammarelle never turned pro.

As for the question, Usyk outboxes Wilder and shuts him out on the scorecards for 8 rounds. Unfortunately, it's a 12 round fight and Wilder brutally kos him in round 9.

Usyk. Wilder is the one big man Usyk has a serious chance of beatng. Can see him putting on a masterclass vs Wilder like he did against Gassiev.

Since this fight is a possibility if and when Usyk moves up to HW I’ll wait till all the predictable haters finish their fanatical rants before commenting. I’ll give it two pages of Usyk huggers claiming he’ll box circles around Wilder before ultimately stopping him in the 10th round.

When that’s done maybe we can actually talk about how the fight would likely go and yes Usyk has a good shot at pulling this off.

Right because Gassiev can close the distance with the same speed as Wilder and they offer very similar angles with their attack.

No, because Wilder is sloppy as hell when he has to come forward and Usyk is good enough to force him too.

You Wilder fans say this about every possible match-up involving Wilder.

Toss up. Maybe Wilder could ooverwhelm Usyk early with his size, power, and speed but if it goes over 5-6 rounds I think Usyk stops him late on accumulation or wins a UD. This is in no way a given like Usyk fans make out. Im a huge Usyk fan and he adapts to opponents in fight possibly better than any other active boxer, but if Wilder catches him before Usyk figurea him out, adapts, and gets in rhythm -- which would be doom for Wilder -- then there is a real chance he KO's Usyk. No shame in any outcome of this fight. If they fought the sport wins regardless. This really is a 50/50 toss up. Lets not forget Usyk can be caught early. Just saying......

If I had to choose right now Id go Usyk but that opinion would probably change 7-8 a day every day leading up to the fight.

I said the same thing about Fury, Wilder is just too dangerous to try and "outbox" over 12 rounds, he has elite level power that is really top top tier. I think the only way to beat him is take him out before he can take you out.

36 minutes is too long to give a guy who needs only ONE punch.

I’m fan of the sport first and I don’t openly advocate for any particular fighter voluntarily.

I also don’t see how what I stated is so far from the truth.

Brutally. Usyk boxes his little brain loose before stopping him in 8 or 9.
