I have a amazing amount of respect for bellew. Maybe my favorite british boxer atm. not many boxers want to fight the best or actually really dare to be great. Tony is marketable, he could have easier fights for the same money but no he wanted to fight literally the very best, a monster. He did and he did quiet well against him but i always felt it was an impossible task.
Bellew also handled himself very very well before the fight and even with a bad concussion he was still a gentleman despite being out of it.

In saying that I'll still make jokes about it because this is the internet, there funny and i cant help myself . its just fun, if tony wasnt alright now we wouldnt be making them

Speaking of brain damage, it's "would have " not "would of".

It was a good stoppage but an obvious one, was too big a KD and Bellew was scrambling to get himself up. Tbf I was impressed he managed to pull himself up so quickly as he went down hard.

He was definitely concussed at the end, they should have cut the interview as soon as it was apparent which was pretty much straight away, let him get checked out and go home. He works for sky, they can get his thoughts and air them anytime they want to.

He was pretty lucky the rope held his neck up, imagine crashing his skull into the canvas with the same force, stretcher, hospital & slurred speech. But I don't think letting the fight on ever was on the tables. He was completely out at 7.

People do understand that a doctor would of looked at Bellew at the end of the fight. All this talk of he should of been sent to hospital etc etc is a nonsense. This isn't some backstreet operation. The doctor would have looked at him in the corner and also spoke to him to make sure he knew where he was.

It was the position of the rope that did the damage on Watson when his head sprung off it, not the follow up from Eubank so you can't point the finger at Roy Francis not stopping it sooner, maybe his corner including the very experienced Jimmy Tibbs should not have let him out for that last round.

Some may think it's just fans stirring up trouble, but I watched that fight, and this was one of the most dangerous knockouts in recent history. Just watch that 8th round from start to finish again in real time and you should see what I'm talking about. It starts with a right hook that Bellew took in the corner. After that his coordination falters and he shows sign that he can clearly focus his eyes anymore. That blinking wasn't caused by sweat, I know that look and I've been in that position. It's because he looked at his opponent and couldn't bring the image into focus. This fact is further corroborated by the way he began to be hit continuously with shots as though he couldn't see them coming despite having dodged and blocked the exact same shots moments earlier and all through the rest of the fight. At this stage, I was hoping someone in his corner would stop the fight, because he already needed medical attention, but few people would believe how serious it had already gotten.

Finally, the scariest moment came a second before the knockout was delivered. Bellew goes to take a step off the ropes and you can clearly see his feet didn't respond. He starts to step with his right foot but he can't move it. That leads to him before clobbered by a fast left from Usyk. After that left, his hands drop and stands there as Usyk delivers the final 1-2. Frankly, the moment his hands dropped like that, I genuinely feared for his future as a person, because I knew an already badly hurt man was about to be hit full force.

Fight couldn't have gone on after the knockdown the stoppage was correct.
