theres no actual talk of 3g chasing the fight. What there is, is clear evidence of shytalker Hearn using a name in order to big up his new protege who has only one name on his resume. Likely Smith will end up facing someone subworld, not 3G.



But if it transpires that it does happen, credit to the winner. When/if it happens, not before. Credit to Smith if he takes the fight, but I am not sure 3G deserves credit for taking on a guy with one world class bout to his name.

Golovkin kept calling out Canelo when he was a division bellow remember? Canelo never asked for that fight , but he took on the challenge twice anyway.

^^Thats what Golovkin was saying after Canleo fought on at 154 against Smith. So it is also true that Golovkin kept pushing for Canelo to fight him after he gave up the 160 belt. And he accepted those challenges soon after.
Golovkin has been challenged over the years by a lot of guys - Ward , Charlo , Andrande , Sergiy D , Callum Smith.
It would appear he never accepted a challenge like Canelo has .
