He certainly took his chance to impress, perhaps the term "out work" isn't doing Bellew's performance justice, implying he was mostly throwing ineffective shots at Usyk's guard, when in reality he was landing a steady stream of good body shots and threatening lead right hands.

But ultimately, when Usyk turned it up a notch in the 5th and beyond, there was no doubt that Bellew was thoroughly outclassed.

Great breakdown by Dwyer, as usual.:deal: And he touches on Usyk-AJ.

Rounds are scored it real-time not knowing what's gonna happen later on in the fight. Bellew was winning then he gassed which led to the KO. Usyk didn't impress me all that much really but he did what he had to do.

I felt Usyk`s defense was too poor to fight Wilderr or AJ, Bellew landed a lot of counters and Usyk is very open to counter straight rights which is Wilder`s money punch.

    Finally booted!

Anyway, Bellew took the first 3 but didn't dominate those rounds. Just won them. I was surprised to hear the punch stats had Bellew only outlanding in 1 round, not that they always mean something, just thought it was interesting.

At the end of the day, the fight was competitive for a few rounds and then it really wasn't and then Bellew had his soul snatched from him so badly that he could hardly speak properly in the interview after.

    Bellew's left hook doe.

He makes some excellent points, and he's right, even though I gave Bellew the first 3, I marked them as close for a reason, an argument could be made for Usyk in all of them. The first three were not some kind of schooling by either man.

Biggest problem in boxing is its subjective scoring.. Bellow got many rounds here (and by the judges) because he was doing better than expected..

It was close early but this make Bellow looker better from a scoring standpoint as opposed to the fact he probs wasn't really winning rounds..

I couldn't watch it live but when I did see it I was expecting some sort of masterclass by Bellow early but all I really saw was someone that was being competitive..

He never had Uysk in any trouble at any stage and Uysk was still the general at all stages of the fight....

Really probs should have won every round in my book...
