You might well be right
But it might just be a case of bad circumstances, connections, management and promotional issues, rather than issues with his ability.
Either way it's not good preparation for stepping up.

He has bounced between Romania and Canada for his fights and fought infrequently, so I can believe to an extent that he has had some management issues.

At his age and stage of development it doesnt bode well that he is choosing to step up now, at a level way above what he is used to. I also think some of his lack of career progress can be blamed on him too, a lack of being proactive and being a pain in the arse demanding the step up fights.

 

Or he could just fight someone decent instead.
