Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Miguel Beltran Jr. & Juan Manuel López vs. Cristian Ruben Mino RBR.

That was really a fun little slobberknocker up unti the 7th round, when they both started gassing.

 

I really have no desire to watch Gamboa, but what the hell, why not.

Round 1 Gamboa 10-8


A feel out round up until the last 30, Gamboa cracks Beltran with a massive left hook, he rocks him, then Beltran's glove gets caught in the ropes, the ref helps him out, then a huge right hook connects on the button from Gamboa dropping Beltran face first, he looked unconscious, but somehow managed to pull himself up by 9 and the bell sounds.

Gamboa trading with Beltran early, then goes on the backfoot, Beltran coming forward, Gamboa tagging him with looping overhand rights throughout and occasional left hooks.

 

Col. Bob Sheridan remarking how nice Gamboa's skin was in the 2nd.

Miguel marching forward timing Gamboa a little better now, lands a decent right, and whipped in right hooks throughout the round, Gamboa still faster and flicking out the jab, but few landed clean, Beltran catching them on his gloves.

Neither man landed much, but Gamboa beating him to the punch, being hyper defensive.

Gamboa letting his hands go a little more now, landing inc combination throughout the first half, then goes southpaw and lands overhand right, then goes back into defensive mode in the second half of the round.

Beltran lands body shot early, and a one two, then Gamboa takes over landing looping hooks, then lads a low blow on Beltran he takes about 30, Gamboa goes to town tagging him with fast one twos.

Beltran had a decent round, landed a lot of body shots, but Gamboa was still faster and more accurate with his counters up top.
