Let think for one second...ok I thought for one second. Ali by KO after a soul stealing 8 rounds of embarrassment for Wilder.
Ali KO. Wilders rubbish and he hits hard, Ali beat many a good Boxer who could also put a man to sleep with 1 shot.
Ali`s style was based on standing at his punching range so he could just move his head out of the way and he would still be close enough enough to counter, it would be difficult to do that against Wilder because of his reach, but Ali was tested against better fighters than Wilder and there`s a good chance that Wilder would Ali and his chin holds out, if anyone could take Wilder`s shots it would have been the iron chinned Ali and his will power and heart were amazing.
Wilder will start windmilling from the start like Tasmanian devil and eventually would KO both Ali and ref. Then he would proceed into the audience knocking ppl out left and right.
Similar sized Ortiz was out boxing Wilder even with his slow feet and inferior hand speed, I can see Ali easily out boxing Wilder. Wilder like's to set a wide stance and try and counter fighters from the outside as they come in, problem is Ali with his hand speed and foot speed could get in and out far easier than Ortiz could or Szplika could. Even if Wilder lands one of his right hand bombs, does anyone think he can actually keep Ali down? Ali took the best that Liston, Frazier, Foreman and Shaver's could dish out, he isn't getting taken out by the odd bomb from Wilder. Ali wins hands down. He moves in and out strafing Wilder with fast straight shots, gradually picking him apart and stopping him inside 10 rounds.
If Foreman can't ko Ali, then what is Wilder going to do. Wilder isn't as physically imposing as Foreman, so I don't think Ali has anything to worry about. Wilder will give it a good go, but that'll be his downfall. Using too much energy early on while Ali plays the patient game, and then bang. Wilder out on the floor.
Wilder by UD no question Of course Ali is the better boxer, but like EVERY other sport, boxing has also changed/progressed/developed a lot. Tactics, trainings, juice, diet, stamina etc.
398lbs Dustin Nichols, lol. But seriously if you look at the fighters that dropped Ali they all had 2 things in common. Cooper, Banks and Frazier all were small and fast and all dropped him with left hooks. Ali struggled more with smaller heavies where he didn't have such a big speed advantage, so they could dart in and land that left hook. The bigger slower, more powerful heavies like Liston and Foreman, Ali was more effective against. Wilder doesn't have the attributes to do what Copper, Banks and Frazier did and even if he did Ali gets up and turns the tables on Wilder.
