Being that he was also fast, could Johnny have beaten Hector in both their primes?

I really liked the heat! I give him a great shot at beating hector. Hector was a little wise ass, I would have loved to see a guy like Verderosa kick his butt

Are we talking about in a boxing match or a contest to see which could snort the most cocaine fastest?

If this is peak Camacho, then Verdosa goes up in smoke. People forget what an assassin Hector was at his zenith. Even after he began to lose interest in boxing, Hector was amazingly gifted physically, with a clever tactics to get away with the fact that he didn't train to be fit to fight, but just to keep his physique appealing for the females (his own words).

But watching some of his prime fights, like Bazooka Limon and johnny Montes, there are moments that take your breath away.

People typically attribute Hector's slide to his struggle against Rosario. I think that played a role but I also have a theory that his split with trainer Jimmy Montoya played a part too. I wonder if anyone here can vet that theory and let me know if it holds up.

I don't know when Hector and Jimmy parted ways, but I know Jimmy was a task-master who had an extremely impressive pedigree as a trainer. Just check out how well Jimmy did in resurrecting Mikkel Kessler's fortune after the catastrophic opening round of the Super 6 tournament.

    Camacho by tko

Verderosa bobs and weaves with an aggressive attack but cannot cut of the ring. Camacho punishes the defensively deficient Verderosa and stops him at some point.

Verderosa was totally exposed by Cornelius Boza-Edwards.

A guy who fights the way Verderisa did better have a great chin and Boza showed he didn't have it

Camacho is many levels above Johnny

It would have been an marketable match-up of two hyped New Yorkers.

Camacho proved he had the goods, unlike Verderosa.

Camacho could fight. Verderosa was a fake.
