So... Egid put him down with a clear rabbit punch and punched him while he was on a knee, and how exactly was that a legit win?

Egis suffered a bad cut from a head clash for the second fight in a row (in round 2 IIRC) and then he took Arriaza out just when it looked like the cut was worsening. Arriaza looked like a dangerous customer to me so that was pretty impressive to get him out of there that quickly.

    Roy would have been DQ'd.

Sketchy stoppage though, I didn't like that at all, the ref should have let him recover, that was a bad call.

Definitely an illegal shot after he was down. a significant one too, considering his head snapped back violently.

Hopefully his team files a complaint, they're pissed too.

Yeah, that's a clear DQ if he couldn't continue... dude was clearly 100% down and he threw a huge shot.

    That's a complete ***** move.

Hate indecisive endings, especially when you know there's a good fight underneath all the bull****.

Ref should've warned him about hitting him when he was down and given Arriaza time to recover. That said, I think it was the big right hands that did all the damage.

The cut was really bad and I got the impression Egis might not have been able to continue for too much longer and I don't think the ref called the butt so he could have lost his unbeaten record there had the ref or doctor waved it off.

Maybe, but as it is, I think they should throw the result out entirely, Arriaza's a quality fighter, I've liked him for quite a while now, he deserves better than that, the right probably did rocked him, but with clubbing overhand to the back of the head and the rabbit punch, there was no way he could get up from that, he was probably pretty damn woozy, it should be a NC IMO.

I could be wrong but I thought the right hands landed on the side of the head and he was definitely badly hurt by them IMO. The final shot when Arriaza was down was out of order though and it was harder than I first realized and he should've been given time to recover.
