Pick em my ass! The overrating of Mikey Garcia must end. He dropped about 4 rounds and had a semi-tough fight with Lipinets, and all due respect to Lipinets, but he couldn't shine Tszyu's shoes. Tszyu was too strong with too much firepower for Mikey.
Totally agreed but in an even less gay way than you His success got me further into boxing after the Jeff Fenech era. I liked his straight talking as much as his straight right. A shame how things turned out with his promoter and the way he retired. I think he'd give Bud a very good fight.
You might be underrating Garcia. Kostya was my favorite fighter back in his heyday and I would give him the edge over Mikey but he was far from invincible.
Woah there princess, let's keep some perspective.. Based on what? A relative novice & untested Sergey Lipinets kept him honest for 12.. Looked a competitive fight to me Hatton is league's ahead of Lipinets... Don't even mention the perennial joke that is Adrien Broner!! What Tszyu would have done to him would have been hilarious...& even Malinagggi (who Hatton battered) arguably edged him! Garcia is more of a LW IMO anyway... A SFW (Martinez) dropped him in fact & you're dismissing Hatton! I know styles are a factor etc & yes Garcia could pick him off but let's not pretend a LWW Hatton on his best day (fully fit & focused) would be a walkover based on Garcia's cherry picking at 140 & his SFW & LW exploits... Hatton was a brawler yes, but Garcia is no Mayweather! He'd have got up close & personal at some point... & ripped his body! Huge disrespect of Hatton there son... Reign it in a bit. I rate Garcia's skills yes, but he's relatively untested at the bigger weights.. He's certainly no Manny Pac! & he's certainly beat no one of Tszyu (even ageing Tszyu) caliber at 140...
This is the first fight of Tszyu's I ever saw. He came into a Pink Floyd song, bounded over the top rope smiling at everyone, and the commentator said that Tszyu had a little snooze in his dressing room before he came out lol. Then he transformed into a cold-blooded ruthless assassin as soon the first bell rung and I immediately became a big fan of his. This content is protected Yeah it is a shame about all that stuff. Tszyu would give Crawford a lesson in what canvas pie tastes like.
Based on Hatton about to get KO'd by Juan Lazcano, who isn't half the fighter that Mikey is, and also getting a gift against Collazo.
Tszyu was an elite fighter his son who is pro now is tarnishing the Tszyu name by fighting bums who take dives
It's easy to be selective rather than look at thing's in the round mate, I can do that with any fighter.. Look at Garcia, FW Burgos staggered him, FW Martinez dropped him.. What would LWW Hatton have done?! Try looking at his overall body of work... Lazcano? Umhh, Ricky by that point was past his peak, he was coming off that bad FM loss & I don't think he was in the best place mentally. About to get KO'd?! He was wobbled by a left hook, big difference! Apart from that he controlled range, out jabbed & totally outworked Lazcano.. If you want to match Garcia up with the Hatton that fought Lazcano then fine. But I'd prefer your parameters weren't so narrow & we could focus more on something other than 2 fights, one not his best weight & the other a clearly declining force.. BTW I was never big on Hatton at 147. His best weight was obviously LWW. That's where his main body of work lies.. WW Collazo? Well yes, it was a good close fight but Hatton did enough. Collazo was a very good fighter on his day anyway.. Go ask Berto & Ortiz. Fact is the only people to beat Hattons arse are a peak Floyd & Pac! & to date Garcia is 2-0 at any weights relevant to Hatton... Whereas Hatton is 45-2. Don't cite the Senchenko debacle.... Let's wait & see first what he does before dismissing a lineal LWW champion & a LWW great.
I like Mikey's chances with the best version of Hatton. The one that was getting handled by Collazo, and the one that got stopped by Floyd. Hatton was never all that to me. He caught Tszyu on a bad night, when the UK ref allowed a grappling match. Fact is, you forgot that Senchenko got in that arse too. It's all hypothetical at this point. I just look at Hatton's resume and see it as kinda soft.
Beat me to it. I followed his career very closely and by the time he fought Lazcano his punch resistance was gone. To much weight cutting from blowing up between fights took its toll. I actually thought he peaked with Tsyzu, that night he was rough as **** in there and would've climbed all over Lazcano unfazed ! I will add, I have peak Tsyzu beating Hatton !
Now I know you're trolling! & actually, no I didn't, I mentioned him. Learn to read u dopey shithouse LOL Lipinets
