This is classic forumn so we all know hype trains come and go ...is this guy for real? Do you see any flaws? Is there a blue print to beat him the way he's fighting right now?

Like Floyd said...there is no blueprint lol. I think he is the real deal, and outside of moving up in weight I am not sure there is anyone that can expose or take advantage of any perceived flaws

I think he was rushed when he came to the pros, and I think it should be illegal, how long he spent in the amateurs. But his style, grace and power are all legit. He has an argument for #1 p4p but I'd really like to see him fight Mikey Garcia first.

The eye test is bullsh*t... primarily because of the folks holding the eyes.

I care bout results. So far, he's getting the W's in emphatic fashion.

If this guy was fighting in an eight-division setup he may well be the featherweight and lightweight champion. The guy is about as gifted as anyone I've seen.

I’m a firm believer that you don’t talk legacy until a fighter is retired for quite some time. Personally, I still struggle with exactly where I place guys like Morales, Barrera, Oscar, Tito, Shane historically.

I’d really like to see Lomachenko in with Berchelt at 130 next. And we definitely need to see him and Mikey Garcia at 135 sometime in the near future. So...we’ll see.

That said, I LOVE what I’m seeing outta him so far. Wish he would have fought Rigondeux at 126...but it is what it is. Shutting him out as well as Russell and Walters, then KOing Linares in his first fight at lightweight?? So far...so good. He looks like a guy who has truly mastered his craft. So I really look forward to seeing what he achieves moving forward.

I agree....I wasn't asking where do you rank him...but there are people calling him the best they've ever seen. I wanted the opinion of people who study the history of boxing

He's awesome and I feel bad for anyone who can't enjoy his career for how special it is. He has the ability to be exciting to watch while using his genius level ring IQ. In that regard he's similar to James Toney, but with a vastly superior work ethic.

I think Lomachenko and Crawford are of roughly the same caliber. If those two guys stay focused and keep getting meaningful fights they can both make serious moves toward being high all the all time rankings.

I love what I see when Vasyl Lomachenko fights. He knows what he is doing every moment, is aggressive and has great all-around skill, including absolutely unbelievable footwork. He is my favorite fighter of the present time. The only reservations that I have is that I have never seen if he would take a good punch or how he reacts when he faces adversity.

    With flying colors.

One thing I question is his durability. I sometimes see him get too effected from punches he blocked. And he gets marked up in a lot of his fights.

Does Willie Pep pass the eyeball test?

Because that's more or less how I see Loma.

If he doesn't pass the eye test I don't know who does. His main flaw is his size if he keeps moving up in class. IMO the best pound for pound fighter in the game,

Loma hits harder and takes a better punch.
