I had a near shot WK up on the cards.. Vitali would bring it!! Dangerous foe.. Brilliant tall fighter, smart style, vicious & spiteful at his best! Style wise & if VK was fully fit I'd go with Vitali to ice the stiff..

Prime Vitali of 2003/2004 knocks Joshua out in 2 rounds

Sure he would because Joshua is a totally useless bum who can't box. He was nowhere near as good as the aged , unmotivated , over weight sloppy and slow mess of Lewis who beat him in six rounds.

Vitali's low arm defense worked way better against taller guys with longer reaches than it did against slow short plodders... Vitali has a solid inside game whereas Joshua can't fight on the inside at all.

Joshua's speed and longer arms would be nullified by Vitali's slower and shorter arms. This fight has strong chinned Joshua creamed in two rounds written all over it

Highly likely the fight would be competitive early, but Big Vitaly would take over mid fight and Joshua would retire in his corner after taking a lot of punishment.
Joshua went life and death with an ancient Wlad, prime Vitaly would destroy him.

I think it's obvious what wasn't 'better'. It's Lewis's resume that wasn't any 'better'. Why? Since Lewis barely beat any exceptional opponents. Go ahead and name those amazing opponents Lewis beat, that somehow makes his resume better. So I can have a laugh!

Vitali practically had no amateur experience. Didn't even compete in the Olympics. Got KTFO by a bummy kick boxer when he was still a kickboxer himself.

Outside of boxing, Vitali has been a kickboxer, politician, PHD graduate and so forth so on. What the hell is Lewis known for outside of boxing? Exactly! Absolutely nothing!

Yet, this same Lewis could barely beat Vitali Klitschko in the only thing he was ever known for, which was boxing. Could not score a single knockdown. Needed a referee stoppage to win whilst having his face marked up by this Vitali who's life didn't even revolve around boxing as much as Lewis's life did.

Why did Lewis, in his own domain (boxing), the only domain he's ever been known for, have that much difficulties in beating Vitali Klitschko who's life didn't revolve around boxing as much as Lewis's did?

Why couldn't Lewis drop Vitali klitschko for the 10 count inside 6 rounds against this horrible Vitali Klitshcko? I ask again: Why couldn't Lewis drop this horrible Vitali klitschko down for the 10 count?

Since Lewis is supposed to be so much superior. Why did he not do what nobody else in Vitali's career managed to do?

Vitali would take his time with him, wear him down with an accumulation of shots, then kill him late.

    Still Vitali.

I rate Vitali over Wlad h2h and ancient Wlad nearly cleaned AJ's clock.

AJ is slow in comparison to Lewis in regards to footwork and handspeed. AJ has no jab and is flat footed.

My first initial thought was Vitali. Who was an excellent HW.
Giving it further thought I start asking various questions.

We are looking at Vitali with a finished career and over twice as many fights, whilst Joshua has only had 22.

When do you think Vitali was prime. I ask this as Vitali had some injuries and time away from boxing.
So prime when facing Hide, Saunders, Peters?

I think it would be hard to pick against Joshua if you said who would win if they were both having their 23rd fight.

If it was Vitali on the night he faced Byrd, I would favour Joshua

I'm on the fence with this one.
Vitali was normally a clear winner but I think an argument could be made for Joshua having some better singular wins.

    That's a fair comment.

Joshua may go on another 20 fights unbeaten and rampaging. I don't rate him skillwise particularly highly but a show of form like that would leave little choice but to rank him highly indeed. On the other hand, he might get stopped ignominiously or schooled a couple of times by a guy like Usyk.

I tend to think he's going to do better rather than worse, but, let's give it time.

    Vitali with considerable ease.
