he doesn't deserve 40 he has no draw whatsoever ever lol 30% percent should be the best he should get
40% based on his previous ability to generate revenue is clearly way over valuing his worth. Joshua against a decent opponent does over 1 mill PPV buys and he probably generates $40 mill or so once you include the live gate, endorsements and overseas TV rights. Wilder in comparison in his 1 Vegas fight vs Stiverne could even generate 1 mill live gate. Wilder likely generates maybe $4-5 mill per fight against a good opponent up til now. So in reality he's worth 10-15% at best. Hearn last said he's cyrrently worth 35%, though that was based off a moderate success of Wilder/Fury. If it bombs then Hearn has said it could be as low as 20%. But reality is we don't know how much Wilder is truly worth, we're only speculating. But we will have a better idea after Wilder/Fury. Then we'll see how he does against a top heavyweight with a name and how many PPV's he can really sell.
Deontay Wilder deserves about 11%, once Tyson Fury exposes Wilder for the big dosser that he truly is Wilder should only receive 2-3% and that's me being generous.
There's this argument that Wilder should only get 10-20% as "he doesn't bring any of the revenue". Which to me is ludicrous. If the money in this fight has nothing to do with Wilder, why can't AJ go and get £50m for every single one of his opponents? The fact AJ would be up against Wilder is what makes this such a money fight, but seeing as AJ has the track record of making money & 3 belts, Wilder deserves between 30 & 40%
35% and not a penny over. He should count his blessing and be thankful to his lord for such a generous offer. He sold 7K tickets in 6 weeks. 7,000 I have more people in my family. Whyte v Chisora sold more in one day. hahahahahahahahahahaa
Nah, AJ will net $ 50mil+ every year for the rest of his career! Wilder and anyone not called Canelo have to recognise. It's that simple. If Wilder retires tomorrow AJ won't give a sh1t, if AJ retires....well....Wilder can cut his projected career earnings in half on the spot. I agree it takes 2 to tango and in a Wilder-AJ fight Wilder should get 25-40% but that's not because it makes mathematical sense, just because that's what will be required to save face for opponents and not take the pi55.
i'm talking about per fight. Without a Wilder or Fury, he doesn't get that. Therefore, it isn't just AJ bringing the money.
What Wilder "deserves" is irrelevant. He's only worth what Eddie is prepared to pay. If that's not enough, then he's being very shortsighted.
