In case you want to know who Dinu has beaten. Here are his top 5 opponents prior to facing Miller: 1. Mickael Viera. 14-4-1 (is now 14-6-1) 2. Kertson Manswell 24-9-0 (retired at 24-12-0) 3. Ben Nsafoah 15-6-2 (is now 15-16-2) 4. Eric Martel 7-2-0 (is now 12-7-1) 5. Awadh Tamin 12-2 (retired right after losing to Dinu)
Hahaha so after being comfortably outpointed by Pulev, Takam and Scott and telling everyone he's done and going to hang them up before being thrown one more retirement paycheck at 45 years old as a sacrificial lamb in his last ever fight, makes him a great victory? Your off your rocker lad. Adamek is 41. He probably younger than Ortiz and most definitely younger and fresher than Thompson. It was his second fight of the year and he plans to fight again, he's neither retired or semi-retired. Whyte beat a former undefeated world champion, a former world champion, and is fighting a rematch against Chisora, a fight that will sell more tickets and PPV's than Fury vs Wilder, all in a year. What work hasn't he done that Joyce has? Miller just fought a 2 division world champion, 3 division world title challenger, future HOFer and a world ranked contender by the WBA and IBF within 6 weeks and he's probably fighting again in another 6 weeks headlining another card for the WBA interim title. How is fighting future hall of famers, ranked contenders and for world titles fighting weaker opposition than Hanks? I used to really like Joyce, but I tell ya what, his fans are more ******ed than Wilders, I must be supporting the wrong fighter. Joyce vs Ortiz. They are fighting on the same undercard for crying outloud. Put up or shut up ya clown.
I freely admit I can't say with certainty how good Miller is. Maybe I overrate him. Maybe I underrate him. But if he gets in the ring with a Dinu or Adamek level of fighter in his next fight I'm going to start questioning his talent. At this juncture he has to fight a seriously legit opponent.
I think he has a fight with Joshua pretty much lined up, so he'll probably be fighting at this level until then unless the WBA orders him to fight an eliminator or Whyte fights him (Whyte would get destroyed)..
I don't believe Miller has done anything to earn a title shot. I don't believe any of his last opponents are worth talking about. But I do believe Whyte lights up Miller like a Jamaican shotta. Whyte has truly earned a title shot. Whyte is the peoples champ... he takes fan fights with everything to lose.
On on the Miller bandwagon. No one here has mentioned one key factor...Miller aggressively goes to the body. It eventually breaks down his opponents . What other HW goes to the body? The excuse oh its too hard to throw body punches when you are tall. Well Miller works the body very well. And has good head movement. And has surprisingly good wind....he wasn't breathing hard in the 4th last night at all. And fights every 6 weeks! Yes, his opposition has been second rate. Let's see how he does as he steps up.
And exactly how? Is that list comparable? Even Dave Allen is better than that whole list. Back when Dillian fought Helenius... helenius was ranked #10 in IBF. Back when Dillian fought Lucas... Lucas was ranked #11 on WBC Back when Dillian fought Parker... Parker was ranked #5 after JUST having lost Champion status of WBO. Back when Dillian fought Chisora... Chisora was ranked #11 in WBC and IBF Parker and Brown are former world champions. You might not like that fact... it is still a fact though. So please stop chatting BS
What other heavy weight goes to the body lol? What? How about Dillian Whyte... he's name is the 'Body Snatcher' He takes that name very seriously. How about Ugonoh?
Ok..2. With Miller that makes 3. The top guys.. . I'm thinking Wilder, Fury, Joshua and Wlad, are headhunters.
i agree and there has to be a reason he’s being so carefully matched as Hearn is quite happy to let Dillian Whyte fight top ten HWs but not Miller.
For the most part yes, but I would argue that AJ is much more active and adept at going to the body compared to Wilder and Fury.
Jarrell Miller is being underrated. He is a problem if you cannot bang with him and have top power or can't move, box and counter for 12. Stamina is lackluster at heavy and he's coming in heavy trying to super heavyweight super heavyweights. He beats Whyte, Chisora and the like and loses to the top but is a strong contender.
Who said I was a fan of Joyce? I merely said Joyce v Miller would be a good fight and has to happen.....it's YOU who has gone all fan boy and anal.....skating Wilders comp and in the same breath championing that of Miller's. Miller v Joyce make it happen and we'll see how Miller does against a true big man who has power, instead of the feather fisted, small washed up fighters he loves feasting on. Again are you saying Miller v Dinu was more acceptable than Miller v Joyce?
