There will no doubt be a huge push from BT coming from this week onwards. They don’t have a sky sports news, but they have huge reach though EE and their YouTube channels as well as the football coming up over the Bert few weeks. The fight will do decent numbers over here I’m sure.

Yeah, well, I'm not Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder or anyone connected and have absolutely no interest in the fight being a massive financial success. It makes no difference to my personal (and far more modest) finances. My financial interests lie elsewhere. I'll let Mr.Fury "worry" about his money, I won't be losing sleep over it.
My interest in the fight is purely as a fan of the boxing.

You seem very interested, perhaps obssessed, with the finances, and the fight's mass appeal, or lack thereof. And you claim to have very little personal interest in the event as a boxing match. That's how come we're talking at cross purposes.

Some of us regard this as the most significant or interesting fight in the heavyweight division since AJ-Wlad*. I'm not the only one .... but we may be a dwindling number. I haven't heard any convincing argument to persuade that this isn't a hugely interesting heavyweight match.

    * And, btw, this year I have considered Wilder-Ortiz, AJ-Parker, Parker-Whyte AND AJ-Povetkin as significant and interesting heavyweights fights too.
I think this one tops them all, to some degree at least.

Think there is much public apathy after Fury's previous pre fight claims that he was going to Germany to KO Wlad and then delivered the biggest stinker seen in any boxing ring.

The UK media coverage has been shocking for such a big fight - apart from the initial press conference, it has been out of sight out of mind for the public.

Looking forward to watching this fight on free to view.

I will pay to watch, but the undercards is terrible. Think I will just have an early night and set the alarm.

Then smash the TV in when the fight randomly goes off early and I missed it.

Yeah people caring about which promoter is getting the upperhand and all the talk about numbers by fans is ridiculous. Tyson Fury is fighting Deontay Wilder you absolute nutters. This is a huge fight and very interesting.

I don't know about that. I think there was relative public apathy towards Fury before the Wlad fight. He just doesn't seem to draw the casuals in huge numbers.

On the other hand, look at David Haye. He was going to Germany to KO Valuev and he delivered a stinker and edged a decision, delivered a stinker against Audley, a complete bum in a ridiculous fight, and was going to Germany to Wlad too, where he delivered an absolute stinker, lost a clear wide decision, and produced the most pathetic excuse ever.
His performance was immeasurably worse than Fury's when you add that together.
Still, the casuals came back for Haye-Chisora and the Haye-Bellew farces.

Looking forward to it personally. I don't have a horse in this race which makes a nice change.

Undercard is trash, which is annoying. I've heard a fair few casuals talking about it though to be fair so there is some interest at least.
