Tommy was a hell of a fighter, against foreman he was a slick boxer, and he could punch. Seemed like a cool guy too

Some of those hooks he was hitting Foreman with were the same that had KOd a lot of his previous opponents.

He won his biggest matches with the AIDS virus. This makes him even more impressive and you have to wonder what if he never contracted the virus as its saps you physically. A possible reason why his stamina was suspect.

The doc was right, he lost his had speed and aged prematurely.

If he was fighting for years with HIV it's a miracle he never infected any of his opponents.

The documentary claims he had it as early as 1989.

It's not a miracle at all. It's the most likely outcome.

There was a bit of panic station s I recall when he faced Lewis ,with a bit of Morrison s blood about .Headlines like Lewis in Emergency HIV test ,that kind of thing .But really ,what's the actual chance of it being transmitted like that ?

Oh there's def a risk but not sure quite how high it is ,not sure if any disease passed via blood has been picked up in a fight .But always a first I suppose for some unlucky fella .

The eye is basically a barrier. I don't think you'd get it that way from just one drop.

Same here ,I believe that when the aids virus is exposed to air it dies More or less straight away so be extremely unlikely to transmit that way.

Nevertheless it's a risk and it's why those who are HIV positive are banned from participating in combat sports in most jurisdictions.

Bottom line, it was a risk. His opponents didn't know about it for the most part until the announcement. His last fight was highly controversial, but at least the opponent knew what he was getting into.

Morrison had training issues. And drinking issues. His camp picked him up off of bar floors, loaded him on a pickup truck, then put him to bed. And he went through women like a gum chewer finished off a pack of gum.

When you think of all these problems, plus bad hands and knee injuries from football, its a wonder he accomplished what he did. The man burned his candle at both ends, and them some.
