Hoping folks will be interested in these controversial decisions enough to revisit and rescore at least one of them...

Yeah, I also thought Oscar clearly won both fights, but there are many among us who disagree (especially re: the Whitaker fight)...

Maybe the Whitaker conflict will be fun even if the fight is not... if more people participate we could get some diverse cards....

ODLH looked about 2 weight classes bigger than PW, although PW was either physically stronger or ODLH was off balance when PW threw him down 2-3 times in the fight. ODLH also tried to keep his left hand out to measure/keep distance (as taller fighters often do) and PW dealt with it well by trying to hit ODLH's elbow with his right hand. Just two well schooled boxers and a lot of close rounds and the usual awkwardness that happens when a good southpaw and a good orthodox fighter meet. I scored it close, for ODLH 115-114 when he took the 12th round.

I gave PW 6,7,8,9 (2 pt), I gave ODLH 2,3,4,5,11,12, and scored 1 and 10 even. Not an exciting fight to watch, but when two evenly matched fighters fight a lot of times the fight isn't exciting and again, many of the rounds could have gone either way IMO.

There are definitely posters around here who claim to have scored the fight for Tito. Whether they'll rewatch and supply scorecards is another story though.

On the night of the fight I know I scored it a draw, although I doubt that I can find it. I have since rescored it I believe with Oscar winning 7-5....I am interested to see what I perceive this go around.

Out of curiosity did you score rd 3 10-8 or 10-9? WBC had a rule that the uncut fighter on a headbut was docked a point. So this rd should either be 10-8 or 9-9.
Just curious because it looks like it wasn’t factored in and should push Whitaker down a point.

I didn't know that they deducted the point on the unintentional headbutt. My mistake. I scored the two point round for Whitaker for the (off balance) knockdown. I gave round 3 to ODLH, guess he would have picked up another point?

If you go by fight and judge rules then we should. I know some people have not when a KD ruling comes and they think it was a slip or shove rather than a legit KD. But an actual judge to my knowledge is supposed to score by the ruling...but they may have a latitude that I am not aware of?

    So De La Hoya-Trinidad:

Horrible fight to score. So many close rounds but DLH started well and Trinidad finished well. In the middle, tricky to say who was edging rounds. Trinidad's performance was frustrating - he didn't go to the body enough and didn't throw with enough frequency. The longer it went, though, the less DLH did and Trinidad upped his workrate to start stealing rounds.

In a fight like this, that was enough. De La Hoya's confidence at the end even before the decision was announced was baffling. No sympathy for him when the scorecards were read out. My card:

    1 DLH
    2 DLH
    3 DLH
    4 DLH
    5 Trinidad
    6 EVEN
    7 DLH
    8 Trinidad
    9 Trinidad
    10 Trinidad
    11 Trinidad
    12 Trinidad

    Trinidad 6-5-1

    Trinidad 115-114 De La Hoya

Do you have your round by round card, just so we can compare later on
