He hasn’t really taken an opponent seriously since Floyd, that’s most serious I’ve seen him. Before that was Morales 2, the only entrance where he went in angry rather than smiling.

In his younger years he was a lot more into the macho act, “no fear”, “anytime anywhere”, banging his gloves, raising his hands to goad his opponent, he had malice. I guess he grew up and realised that’s all silly, it’s just a sport and he has a much more serious role to play in helping the poor people of his country.

I think he was embarrassed for Broner and the whole event. Broner came waddling in with that gut and couldn't even talk his usual trash without sounding half-assed.
Broner fast becoming boxing's sad clown.

He is. He has brought Freddie Roach back, so don't be fooled by this laughter.

In his younger years he had money to make, a reputation to build and a legacy to craft. At this point hes been an ATG for well over a decade. There isn't much left to motivate him.

about as seriously as you can take broner. think about it, if pac, at this point in his career, is still beating most welters from a new generation, that says a lot about his longevity. thats going to count when assessing him in 10 years, and if he were to rematch floyd and win, which i think he would, he could take a couple steps up the atg ladder.

Manny could end up being a modern day Roberto Duran.....fighting for decades and still remaining competitive.

Quick fact: In 1968, when Roberto Duran turned professional, Mike Tyson was just TWO years old.

When Roberto Duran finally retired, Mike Tyson was a completely shot fighter (2001)

Now that's what you call longevity.

Another question should be asked: Why in gods name is Broner getting a world title shot? He hasn't won a fight for more than 1,5 years.

I am sure and hoping Manny wants to do that, he still has the ring IQ and the talent to beat 98 percent of boxers around his weight class.

Tyson wasn’t completely shot in 2001. He was a top 5 heavyweight. And Tyson is obviously known for being a young champion who burned out early.

He isn’t. Manny isn’t a real champion right now.

Manny can't beat Keith (at least an active Keith).

Manny is simply a jovial guy, he's serious in the ring. Broner is gonna posture and do this and that, then end up throwing hardly any punches and lose a wide decision..........we've already seen this story

Of course he is. A small instance doesn't speak for months of training.
