Does Wilder AJ happen if Wilder beats Fury in low performing PPV?

    If Fury wins, even if the Wilder fight us ppv does bad, the UK demand for AJ to face Fury will be so huge that I'm confident terms could be worked out between the two parties, almost certainly around 50/50. Meanwhile, AJ will still eventually face a beaten Wilder, as Wilder would agree to reduced terms of 25% or thereabouts, about what he would get as a mandatory.

    Similarly, if the US ppv does well, and Wilder beats Fury, I'm confident both opponents would eventually face AJ. The demand would be huge, and Wilder will be financially established enough that both sides would probably be able to come to a fairly equal and acceptable split.

    BUT, if Wilder beats Fury in a LOW performing PPV, I'm genuinely unsure if Wilder AJ ever happens. On resume and legitimacy, both sides will be fairly close to each other. But if AJ is by far the A side financially, Wilder and his team may just not consent to taking a lower proportion of the pay than they feel is fair. And AJ and Hearn wouldn't want to pay the financial B side a near equal amount.

    And honestly, i think both sides would have a point. That really is a tough negotiating situation to accommodate. So if Wilder beats Fury in a low performing PPV, don't be surprised if AJ Wilder never happens.

    Yeah, if it did happen it would at least take a couple more years to make it.

    Let me put it this way. Any excuse AJ or his fans, or Hearn, can think of for AJ to avoid fighting Wilder or Fury, they will use.

    It will happen, even with low PPV sales. So long as Wilder FINALLY accepts the fact that no one knows who the eff he is, even in the US, and he accepts a fair offer.

    I'm sure some will come back with the silly 50mill offer he supposedly had....

    Why on earth do you think Fury would get close to 50/50 if the fight bombs with Wilder? That makes no sense whatsoever.

    Fury made £5 mill each for his 2 comeback fights according to Warren and might make similar or less vs Wilder if it bombs which is a fraction of what Joshua makes. Fury will get a decent cut being a money earner himself but if he gives Fury 50/50 the fight would need to do about 2 mill buys or Joshua takes a pay cut, which obviously wouldn't make sense for Hearn or Joshua.

    As for AJ/Wilder it all depends upon Wilder's demands once it's proven he isn't a draw. Personally I think he's too deluded or proud to back track and prices himself out of the Joshua fight.

    um no wilder is gonna want 50% if I was aj I would refuse that fight 2. why give someone who can't draw 50% when aj is the one putting 80-90% of the people in the arena.

    What is it about Wilder fans that just don't get it? Certainly being fooled by a 50 mill offer is a part....but geez, Wilder couldn't draw flies covered in honey and poop!

    Yes as the reality will hit home for Wilder that he doesn't make anything close fighting anyone else.

    If the PPV flops his management team will be stuck in a hole as they have been adamant that Wilder is just as valuable as AJ.

    Wilder will be cornered and have nowhere to go.
    AJ is his only ticket, what else is he gonna do, rematch Ortiz or fight Breazeale?

    Wilder will tuck his skinny tail between his legs and take that cool 15$ mil flat fee.

    It isn't going to happen in the next year if Wilder/Fury is super successful or a big bomb.

    I can’t be arsed to look up your posting history, but I’m gonna take a wild guess and say I would find many more posts by you with excuses for why AJ should never fight Wilder. :deal:

    actually no. I am all for aj fighting wilder... he gets the same % parker got.. and if he beats fury then I say give him 5% more then parker got.

    A. Re Fury. If Fury wins but it does bad numbers, so what? It was set up for US PPV. Fury has proven in the past he can be a big draw in Europe. Wlad got one of his highest paydays against Fury. A triumphant Fury would be huge money in the UK. I don't care about how much he got for ****ing Pianeta etc.

    B. Re Wilder. If Wilder wins but does bad money, he would still be very comparable to AJ in resume. This A side B side stuff is very modern and subjective. Many people who are arguing this point for this fight were arguing contra for Canelo GGG and many other fights. I understand both sides, because both sides have a point. Wilder wouldn't want chump change while basically being a co equal HW champ. And AJ wouldn't want 50/50 or anywhere close to it when he brings most of the bank. So that could stall the fight indefinitely.

    Even if Wilder-Fury does poorly in the US, I have no doubt Wilder-AJ would be huge in the UK.
