'Doing what he wants' led to losing all his titles and being retrospectively banned for being a drug cheat. It didn't exactly work out great did it?

I`m not sure who you`re talking about, AJ or Fury because AJ has more KO`s than Fury and his fight with Wlad was far more exciting than any bouts Fury or Wilder have been involved in.

Joshua's pulled a few faces and stuck his tongue out. I'm sure nearly every fighter has at some point.

Generally though sports have their exciting moments which attract fans and drive business. Footballers score goals, golfers take risky shots, motor racers go for gaps to overtake, boxers land big shots, knock people out, get dropped, get up and go to war.

Not saying people who love Fury's style are wrong. Course they're not. But they do seem to be the same sort of people who'd prefer a 0-0 draw to a 4-3 thriller.

You're missing the point. I'm not saying what he does is some kind of masterstroke. What he does often negatively impacts on himself. What it also does to those around him is however often worse.

How is it worse for those around him? If Wilder lost a fight against Fury with a mandated rematch clause and Fury just said 'nah, I'm not doing it,' Wilder would (if his management team had any sense) be in line for loss of earnings compensation, a guaranteed crack at the now vacant title, and be able to get out of a rematch against a broadly unpopular opponent he's just lost to.

He'd still have lost and people would be calling him the most paper champion they could think of. If you think that'd be an ok outcome for him then you need your head testing.

Also bear in mind that Fury's mental health problems pretty much give him an out whenever he wants it. "I'm not cleared to fight because of my mental health but am still the champ" good luck trying to sue a man who can't fighr due to medical reasons.

No wonder the tickets are not selling very well. It a poor event.

Every single fight on the Wilder-Fury PPV card is a mismatch.

I'll be surprised if there are 500,000 buys, in fact unless there are a lot of stupid people out there, it will not do better than 250,000 buys.

Who gives a toss how many were sold.

I guarantee everyone participating in this thread will be making time to watch the fight one way or another.

Thats how it is up here in north east england, i can vouch for that.
Most of the media stories have been about his mental health issues, and most of them been quite muted in support of his mental health struggles.
Has anyone else in the uk noticed that the media havent, made this more of an inpirational story.
I think they are reluctant to side with him due to his controversial opinions.

Ive been buzzing for this fight for months. But I think Fury will make Wilder look silly (at least in the first half of the fight) So it wont be one for the casuals.

How many tickets would AJ sell in LA? We talk about the number of fans who ho show up to watch him, I ask at what price? I mean if the goal was to fill an arena they could charge $10 per ticket and fill up huge arenas all over the country. This is a big fight regardless how many people buy it or attend. That said, I predicted 200k buys, we will see.

Totally agree, thought the same thing about him but Fury does have a history of proving everyone wrong and actually telling us all what he’s gonna do.
On the back of those two exhibition type fights it seemed like madness but it could turn out to be genius timing as those fights did allow to have his fat camps then and he now looks in great shape and if his camp has been about boxing skills ect as appose to losing weight it could turn out to be an inspired move indeed.
