I wonder why MMA has such a rabid following in Aust. Yes the River Rumble is on PPV and the audience will rival the cricket on Fox but the UFC on Sun in Adelaide will surpass it. Yes the Wilder vs Fury is on but the UFC is free on Ch 10 and will include local MMA fighters such as Tai Tuivasa , Mark Hunt , Tyson Pedro , Jake Mathews , Ben Nguyen and Jimmy Crude. I usually try to see a positive side for Aust boxing but to lose to a fighter with 5 fights and who turned pro at 30 is a reason for the critic's to crow about how Aust boxers are matched with Asian taxi drivers. Kye has feasted on Asian boxers to reach such a high ranking. A card on Dec 21 at Emporium Bankstown is a perfect example of this. I quite enjoyed what I saw of Friday night's fights. Horndog looked sensational. Didn't have any opposition but still looked great. He's back on top of the Aussie P4P ranks for mine. I give him a good shot of winning against Porter. Particularly out here. I got home late so missed a lot of the undercard fights. One guy who really impressed me was Liam Wilson. Helluva talent & now Australian champ. I'll be following his progress with interest from now on. The kid who defended against him gave a good account of himself also. Saw bits of Cameron Hammond's fight. Felt he did better than the RBR guys here credited him. Particularly early when I was watching. I missed most of the other fights. Goodnight Goodall won on points for the first time which won't do him any harm.
