Was also the first. Alexander Zolkin. 6'5 238 southpaw, fast hands, 300 amateur fights. I believe he'd beat Usyk in his prime. So what happened to him? Why didn't he make it? This content is protected
He was pretty good but he made made Henry Akawandey look world class when they fought. If he came around a decade later during the K era he would have been a champ for sure.
If you look at his record, Zolkin lost to three ridiculously tricky guys. H lost to Tony Tubbs (avenged), to Mike Hunter Sr. (Yes, it is who you guys think it is, avenged), and to Akinwande who was a 6'8 southpaw. I really don't think his management had a plan for him. He fought a lot of tricky southpaws which negated his advantage, he wasn't really a puncher either but he was a relentless *******. Really good heavyweight. This content is protected
Golota was great on roids, but he never really seemed to have the heart against big punchers. I did forget about him though. He could defienitely fight.
3rd most talented EE heavyweight? Either Ibragimov or Chagaev in their primes. This content is protected This content is protected Usyk will very quickly take their spots soon though
