Does seem strange he’s saying that now, also Allen came out couple months ago and said yoka had more power than anyone he had been in the ring with including sparring and I bet aj fans wouldn’t agree with that so nothing wrong with Ortiz fans disagreeing.

I think Allen is beginning to regret his career choices. He’s always worked with the same trainers, repeatedly turned up overweight to fights and not given it the dedication he should.

He seemed to pride himself on his toughness and willingness to fight anyone. Whilst brave - it’s not a good career plan.

He’s started training with Booth now and maybe he’s wishing he’d done his career to date differently. Perhaps these comments about Ortiz etc are his way of dealing with it somehow.

It’s not that deep. Allen was just replying to someone, he tweets more than most boxers.

I really don’t think this is anything more than that.

    What?

Allen previously said Ortiz punches were so hard it made ‘his blood go cold’ and he ended up with a badly split tongue.

I don’t believe this at all.He has done hundreds of rounds with Tyson but has made a point in the past of elevating Ortiz’s power.

    I think Daves becoming a rent a quote,and backing a mate publicly.

Dave Allen also said that for the first three rounds Sugar Robert Helenius is the best boxer he's ever sparred with.

    Yes, I deal in facts.

And of course he is wrong. AJ punches way harder than Fury.

I wonder who the lowest weight boxer I'd pick to beat Dave Allen would be.

I made a thread last week asking who would win out of Lomachenko and Dave Allen.

I think Loma wins easy. It was 50/50 opinion.

    He is putrid.

It wasn't a brutal KO, what fight did you watch? Allen turned up on short notice totally out of shape, and was too out of shape to continue, so the ref stopped it, despite Allen's protests. Allen was never down or even in real trouble.

Allen's punch drunk. He probably doesn't even know where he is right now, from that ferocious beating old grandpa Ortiz gave him. Please retire Dave, your nothing but a stepping stone for Daniel Dubois, lol.

Your right, but he did take some heavy flush shots.

It was a mercy stoppage rather than anything else.

The Domestic Level Doncaster De La Hoya (Allen aka The White Rhino) is the second hardest puncher Old Man River Ortiz has fought. Let that sink in. And Allen fought a juiced to high heaven and younger Ortiz, whereas Donkey fought a PED free older one.
