His last 2 wins have been seriously impressive. He must now be on the verge of a title shot.

Calling him a journeyman is disrespectful and untrue.

I'm sure you thought Ustinov was going to win, "DOE".

Hunter, Miller and Wilder (US) vs Joshua, Whyte, Chisora (UK) on April 13th. Bill it as "World War 3: The invasion of the UK". Throw in Usyk vs Povetkin (Russia vs Ukraine), Price vs Parker (NZ vs UK), Browne vs Allen (Aus vs UK) and Takam vs Kuzmin (France vs Russia) as well for good measure and make a heavyweight night of it.

You are a bum. A total clown. Hunter is 30 and has one loss and it was Usyk. A guy who has one loss, losing to one of the best P4P fighters in the world can't be a journeyman. You are not even a journeyman. You should be ashamed of yourself exposing yourself as one of the worst cans on here. Please stay away from the topic and STFU.

Hunter is a decent contender as he is now.
Activity is what he needs to improve his stamina and he's getting that. 4 fights already this year. Two of his best wins only a month out from each other.
He comes to fight too and doesn't shy away from a scrap. Win or lose he's a another good addition to this stacked HW era and will provide some entertaining fights which is the most important thing at the end of the day. :ggg
Id say this era of HWs could almost rival the 90's era. Its one of the best divisions around easily.

Wilder's resume after 32 fights was worse than Hunter's HW resume and he still got his title shot against Bermane Stiverne.

I thought they were right last night when they said he should move down to Cruiser after he gets the belt his father won. He's a great boxer but the top quality super heavy's are going to be too big for him. There's a big difference between a Bakole or Ustinov and the likes of AJ or Wilder. Not to mention Usyk will be marauding through the division and he's already beaten Hunter once.

With no Usyk at Cruiserweight Hunter could take a shot at besting Briedis, Gassiev and the rest.

He's a very good addition to the heavy division but let's see him step up a bit before people jump the gun on him.

So far at heavy he has beaten a journeyman, a ten fight novice and two fringe/gatekeeper level guys.

He displays good heart and he's solid all round, at cruiserweight he showed good whiskers but he hasn't been in with a heavyweight puncher yet, big difference between the guys he's been in with compared to the Joshua/Wilder/Povetkin etc of the division.

He's thirty so can't be messing around but at this weight he still doesn't need to be rushed straight into a big one. I'd like to see him get a good 2019 in, 3-4 fights over the likes of Charr, Helenius, Molina, Charles, Hammer, Browne types and then give him a big gut check fight with a top contender like Whyte, Miller, Ortiz or even Hrgovic, Kuzmin if they are there then.

If he gets through that then he'll be ready for whoever the top dog/s are then.

Possible contender but slim chance of causing any upset.
