Considering that Canelo weighs in at 180 lbs in the fights he would need to KO 235 lbs to replicate what Michael Hunter Jr. did to Alexander Ustinov. Because the weight difference between Canelo and 235 lbs heavyweight would be exactly the same as was weight difference between Hunter and Ustinov. It's a right way to count the weight difference - the proportional one. Ustinov weighed in 30.52% heavier than Hunter and that would be an exact weight difference between 235 lbs heavyweight and 180 lbs Canelo Alvarez.

OK, I know that Ustinov isn't a top fighter - he is slow and ponderous, his reflexes aren't good as well as his timing and his overall skills. But he isn't a complete bum either. Lets say, can Canelo KO somebody like Joey Dawejko from Bryant Jennings fight (233 lbs)? And take a note that I'm generous in putting Dawejko as Canelo's opponent for this mythical match up since the height difference bettween Daweiko and Canelo would be MUCH smaller than it was between Ustinov and Hunter - 2 inches instead of 5½.

Canelo could knock out David Price and could have knocked out Moorer maybe but I`m not sure why middleweights can`t knock heavyweights out some say it`s a bigger head it gives you a stronger jaw, some say bigger kneck muscles to absorb a shot and others have said bigger legs absorb shots better and don`t became as shaky when a bigger guy is hit, Tommy Hearns worked on his legs when he moved up to light heavy and was able to take shots off Barkley all night whereas at middle Barkley knocked him out with one shot, could Canelo have knocked Hearns out at at light heavy?

Moorer would literally KILL Canelo. Even if Moorer had Usinov's skills and speed, I don't think Canelo would be able to hurt him. If he wasn't able to put down small glass-jawed journeyman in Matthew Hatton, how on the Earth he would hurt Moorer?

    its about hitting the chin.

being larger doesnt mean u are inherently tougher,it just means other variables like reach height, larger mass of arms for defence etc make the chin further away and harder to reach. Boxings not "A Team" style fights with BA Baracus and a fat biker trading flush punches to the jaw and taking them followed by a mean stare back lol!

lets not go down the road that muscle or fat stops a flush jaw punch. As soon as an average chin gets caught flush its game over. Being bigger reduces the chances of that happening, over any short period of time.

Why then Adamek who was a good puncher at LHW and decent puncher at CW, was completely feather-fisted at HW and couldn't even hurt glass-jawed giants Michael Grant and Kevin McBride?

Agree. Moorer is the last sort of HW you want to face as a small guy.

This is the sort of HW I was thinking about:

Moorer was hurt by Frankie Swindell at light heavy but at that weight punched far harder than Canelo does, that was not my point, I was simply saying te shots he hit GG with in their rematch would have hurt Moorer, but MM would have a massive reach advantage and was far taller, Canelo is tiny height wise, thanks.

I only mentioned Moorer because he had a weak chin and was hurt badly at light heavy. Roy Jones could have hurt Moorer.

Since he's been KOed by mediocre Super Middles, I'd say Canelo could KO him. Not sure he's really a heavyweight though.
