TBA has 1 week to prepare for Yarde...edit: TBA is a real Duffus

Yarde will be the new Wilder. He'll finally step up in his 35th fight or so. Will fight a proper top 10 opponent in his 40th fight or so, and even that will be a cherry pick.

 

I worry, especially with Warren's recent comments about Dubois and Gorman, that Frank is going back to the overly cautious approach with some of his fighters. The late 90's/early to mid 2000's were very frustrating from a fan's point of view regarding the careers of Calzaghe and Hatton. Yes you had some good fights in the mix but there was a lot of talk and a lot of failed delivery.

Certainly with Joe it seemed that we'd be talking about the likes of Hopkins and Johnson after every fight and then that would go away after a few days and the next opponent would be someone like Kabery Salem.

 

It's going to be awful and this "Yarde is getting exposure" line is a load of cobblers.

Apparently he won't be on the US TV broadcast. I suppose they'll change that line to "experience of fighting abroad on a HUGE bill".


Has there been a worse undercard for a Heavyweight world title fight in recent memeory?

There may well have been but I personally can't remember one.

 

Waiting for the boiler man all day yesterday, now I know why he didn't make it, busy training for the Yarde fight.

 

Come on pal, have you forgotten the pathetic undercards on some of the Haye PPV’s when he was a Heavyweight Belt holder? What about Wlad v Fury....utter garbage card.

Compared to those events, Saturdays undercard is stacked like Kelly Brook.

 

I love how wound up people get about Yarde on here.

This forum will be amazing if he faces Burton or Buatsi and KOs them.

We all know that isn't happening. Yarde can't fight anyone with a pulse let alone ko them.

 

Most are lined up just not announced for whatever reason.

A couple of times his opponent has been heavily rumoured due to foreign media letting slip weeks before hand.

I'll have a look, but considering this event and main event was being called HUGE this has gone from 100 to 0 real quick in my opinion.

 

Tickets not even selling for the fight - certainly those US boxing fans know a turd smells and steering well clear.
