Huge step up for Yarde, this man is GAME.

 

Pascal for all his wear and tear, for all the miles on the clock can still punch, so no chance.

If Yarde was anywhere near legit he would take Buatsi while he is still a novice, smash Buatsi to pieces, get paid very well for doing it and get a massive profile boost.

But we all know Yarde is a hype job that will get levelled if and when fights anybody remotely dangerous.

I've heard the same thing, he has been offered top quality sparring but they have refused it every time.

 

5 days out. You’d think he would be announced today, especially if it’s someone “the fans will be pleased with”, it seems strange to keep it under wraps...

 

Frank has started saying things recently which are just blatantly not true and which he himself surely cannot believe. Dubois Gorman in a 40k stadium fight for example. It's so ridiculous that you wonder why he's coming out with it at all.

I wonder if he'd just be better off saying nothing here rather than suggesting everyone is going to be pleased with Yarde's opponent who just so happens to be being announced five days before the fight.

I find it amusing why anybody is seriously trying to hang onto Franks every word. We all know the opponent is going to be garbage, Frank knows that we know it’s going to be garbage aswell.

Just let them do their thing, Frank will pull the trigger when he sees fit. In the end, If it means, that Yarde doesn’t end up reaching his potential , then that’s on them..personally, I believe they will make the right move at the right time.

Franks built fighters from the ground up countless times...he’s behind Hearn interms of newage marketing/PR/hype etc but he knows what he’s doing.

How can you claim matchroom should be making Buatsi v Johnson yet somehow Yarde and Warren get a pass no matter what?

If you believe Buatsi should be fighting Johnson then I really don't see why you are not demanding Yarde fights someone with a pulse instead of settling for the BS Warren produces again and again.

 

But when it comes to Hearn it’s acceptable and make a compendium about it?

Not 'walking the walk' at 27 is a poor idea.
Just have a go, you learn more from tough fights/losses anyway and are more likely to fulfill potential.

When you say Frank knows what he's doing, does he? In the sense of the modern game, building fighters into household names, earning them lots of money, getting them big fights? Is that really happening?

If we look at the last big names Frank had, Hatton left him in order to push into the Vegas fights; his two biggest fights were nothing to do with Warren. Khan left him as well. Calzaghe ultimately ended up in court with him and almost certainly looks back on his time with Warren at least in part as a wasted opportunity. The period between Eubank and Lacy had some genuinely horrible fights and it felt like the best years for Joe were spent beating fighters he could deal with with his eyes closed.

And what do we have now? Yarde fighting another total nobody in all likelihood. Saunders (when he's not banned) fighting in leisure centres. Flanagan turning himself into a stock answer for the question 'Britain's most unrecognisable world champion of all time.' Frampton building himself up for big fights by taking on some Australian mechanic who's never set foot in a place north of Sydney.

I just don't see it.

 

If the board had called for Johnson v Yarde for the British title, I would be 100% saying frank needs to get this agreed with Hearn.

 

They called Yarde v Burton! He hasn’t fought anyone better since...

 

That wasn't for the British title- it was an eliminator to suit Galllaghers needs with the stable issues with Johnson and Burton. Johnson should never have been mandatory in the first place, not after his period of inactivity, but whatever.

Frank wanted to get to Bugloni first for the title, before he got KO’d Bh somebody else rather then got caught up in a ridiculous web. They where right to make that decision IMO.
