"B-b-bb-bbut noone else has faced anyone good either!"

Wipe away the tears. Wilder might prove us all wrong yet but to claim he's fought anyone near as good as even a faded Wlad is laughable. He wanted no part of Wlad like he wanted no part of old man Vitali and had to be forced to nearly face Povetkin and acted like he won the lottery when that fight didn't end up happening.

He for some inexplicable reason didn't want a career high payday against the incredibly limited Whyte, made no overtures to unify and now thinks he's cherry picking Fury. His resume is objectively a lot worse than Joshua's - especially considering how much longer he's been a pro - and lacks anything that can compete with Fury's title win.

When a couple of Fury's British level fights trump most of his WBC defences then you know something is up.

Edit: And Ortiz isn't the boogeyman he's made out to be. A solid contender for this era but old by his own admission let alone the rumours of an older age who could have forced the issue with Joshua as mando had he wanted to but didn't.

To be fair to Fury, he's done something that I doubted he was capable of and that is he's gotten himself into about as good a shape as could be expected given he was pushing 400lb only a year ago. Wilder and his team (all 14 of them) would never have voluntarily took a challenge from an in shape and active Tyson Fury, so yeah, the Alabama gobshite has been fooled. I just hope and prey that the Tyson Fury eye test stands up to scrutiny come fight time.

I had serious doubts this fight would even happen when first announced, then thought Fury was only after a pay day. Now it seems like I may need another slice of humble pie. I just hope that Fury continues to prove me wrong and puts the fraud that is Wilder, to the sword

Couldn't agree more. The faded Wlad that Fury and Joshua beat would have smashed Ortiz into the canvas in quick order. Ortiz's best wins are Bryant Jennings and Scuba Scott ffs and yet, many Wilder fanboys hold him up as the greatest heavyweight never to win a title......gtfoh...

I can't think of many contenders - if any - who have been mythologized more than Ortiz in recent years. His actual achievements are pretty unimpressive when you look at them for what they are.

Wilder was in bad shape vs supply teacher Molina, pastry chef Duhaupas and a shot to bits Arreola, was made to look stupid by a fur coat wearing football hooligan and went life and death with a 50 year old heart patient. Fury is even 80% of 2015 he takes this.

How much coke do you snort? Wlad was past his prime. No matter how good you want to believe he was in his prime he was far from being in his prime when he fought AJ and Fury. So as I typed casual AJ and Fury both fought old men and that is the best they fought.

It is like saying since Kevin McBride beat a old Tyson it proves something. Or because Trevor Berbick beat old washed up Ali he deserves credit for it.

    This

If Fury does the same with Wilder, than Joshua and Hearn will avoid Fury like Mayweather did with Pacquiao.

Not as much as I would like, but thanks for asking.

So you didn't really answer the question. I am in no way debating that Wlad not in his prime, or at his peak. You said they haven't fought anybody. So by your definition, Wlad is a nobody. I will ask you again, please name a few somebody's. I am interested to see a short list.

Remember Wilder ranks the version of Ortiz he beat higher than the version of Wlad that Fury beat  The level of delusion in Wilder's camp is out of this world.

You ever of hear of this feature called the ignore button? Because you are on it now. Wlad was a nobody when AJ and Fury fought him because was past his prime. If Wilder didn't face anybody then neither did Fury and AJ. Bye bye.

Wlad and AJ ducked Ortiz. What does that say about them? So if Ortiz isn't good and yet AJ and Wlad were afraid to fight him then that shows how cowardly Wlad and AJ are right? The only delusional people are the ones like you who hero worship Fury a cocaine addict, homophobic, sexist but continue to trash Wilder.

He's utterly embarrassed himself on this thread.

I don't understand why this Wildettes don't just say "I think he's actually really good but hasn't had the opposition to prove it yet. Initially he didn't have the backing/confidence of his team that was necessary to land big fights but I think he's going to do this when this fight happens."

    That'd be fair enough.
