Granted I knew I'd very likely lose that one... But I'm shocked at how bad Liddell looked. He shouldn't be allowed to fight.
Oscar must've crossed a few very influential palms with some not insignificant sums of silver if he was able to get the California State Athletic Commission to green-light a totally shot Chuck to fight. The whole episode just makes Oscar and his foray into promoting MMA cheap and tawdry.
I really think that some of us could have KO'd that sad version if Chuck. Tito woukd have KO'd him in a few seconds if he actually went for it early. Black mark in the commission for sanctioning that. Truth be told though it wouldn't have left as bad of taste if Chuck got KO'd by a no name brought in as a tune up.
And then Tito parading around afterwards and acting as if ironing out a totally shot version of Chuck actually meant anything.
