Something else should be considered. sure Washington, Szpilka and Ortiz had a ton of success "schooling" Wilder early in their matches with him, but aside from Ortiz, who's very heavy handed, catching Wilder with the counter hook and had him in trouble, was he ever troubled by anything else any of those three landed on him? No, because they were being incredibly cautious, basically landing pitty pats and probing jabs, not over committing to anything, out of a genuine fear of what was coming back at them. So for the people who think Fury is going to get all brave and attempt to get in the grill of Wilder set down on a punch and KO him, Fury hates taking risks against featherfists like Pianeta, Hammer and Seferi, you're deluding yourselves.

I think Fury is going to win a decision in a very ugly-looking fight. It definitely won't be worth the $75 price tag.

Wilder only looks for a right hand KO and he doesn't have good footwork to land it on Fury IMO. I don't know why everyone says Wilder is so fluid; he isn't. His punching technique isn't good and he doesn't have a large arsenal of punches (straight right hand, an okay jab when he uses it).

Of course, Wilder could still clip Fury but I think he'll need distance and a perfect shot to lay him out. Basically, Fury will have to let Wilder wind up and hit him with a straight right hand from the outside to win. If Fury mauls him on the inside, I don't think Wilder will have a chance to knock Fury out. And I think that is what we are in for come Saturday night.

Thanks, haven't seen that. I noticed he was evidently way physically stronger than the 6'7 Price.

Wow, its so great that we have a poll that closes before the fight. Cause, that is SO meaningful. It would really jeopardize the sanctity of the poll if we allowed it to go on beyond the poll date. We need to preserve the historical record. I don't know what we'd do without the ops wise guidance in making this OFFICIAL poll fight thread.

I guess I should be happy the op is at least not bad mouthing or otherwise demeaning the fighters or the division in the thread title for once.

Fury by late stoppage. I've voted on other threads.

Fury dodges and ducks for 4-5 rounds away from Wilder and is winning the fight. Then fatigue starts to set in and his mobility visibly drops.

This allows Wilder to start landing the on him with his superior athleticism. By the 8th round Wilder is able to land something sufficiently clean to put Tyson Fury down and keep him down.

    Wilder via 8th round KO/TKO

Yes he did, to varying degrees with right hands in the first three rounds (including the same 3rd in which he got dropped, a couple of minutes prior), as well as with a left hook in the fourth.

True, Nichols' check-jab was also a pitty pat probe.

So? Do you enjoy making yourself look like a complete dunce to push an agenda or do you really believe that was a legitimate KD? And you have the temerity to say my AJ hate is illogical?

I think it's possible that Wilder might be declared a winner on points in this fight. He was winning on the judges cards in the Ortiz fight, so why not here as well?

Why are you talking about AJ? I was talking about Wilder vs Fury and more accurately replying to your comment on possible outcomes to that fight, not AJ.

I think Fury avoids the big shot, makes it a stinker, uses his jab to score and wins on points. I’m pulling for Deontay but this is a horrible match up for him, IMHO.
