Lewis (obviously) Bugner (defeated Jimmy Ellis, Mac Foster, James Tillis, Greg Page, good showings vs Ali and Frazier) Haye (making Valuev do the chicken dance puts him on the list) Cooper (anyone who defeats Jefferson Davis gets props from me) Bruno Fury and Joshua both have a good chance of replacing Haye and Cooper if they progress in their careers. Can't include anyone named the Toneypandy Terror.
Excluding LPR fighters: 1. Lennox Lewis 2. Bob Fitzsimmons 3. Anthony Joshua 4. Tyson Fury 5. Tommy Farr Obviously Joshua and Fury can increase their standing yet.
Top British heavyweight lists had been very stable for a long time until recently. Bob Fitzsimmons held the #1 slot throughout the 20th century, because he was the only one who had held the undisputed title. Lewis surpassed him by virtue of dominating an era, and the rest were just contenders to be shuffled as you saw fit. Since 2015 we have had two British heavyweights who were clearly the top heavyweight on the planet, which is as many as we had in the previous hundred years! Even somebody like Dillian Whyte would have been a significant addition to the list, had he come along a decade or so earlier!
You don`t think Wlad`s hands were quick enough to catch Frank, he was quicker than Smith who caught Frank after his tank emptied and Wlad sure hadn`t lost his punch, I mean if Foreman caught Bruno the way he caught Moorer, surely Frank`s dicey jaw would crack. Moorer was a better defensive fighter than Frank also, but Wlad would have knocked MM out if he wa in the ring instead of George, he was in far better shape and his hands were way quicker, I didn`t any fight wherre Frank punched quicker than Wlad did v AJ.
I still think Chisora should be ranked ahead of Whyte. Whyte might do more, but Chisora has done more. Haye should probably be ahead of either.
