He says Fury’s power is very underrated, especially from a southpaw position. He also says Joshua-Fury is a 50-50 fight
I would value his opinion more so than some on here, and who is to say he is wrong, personally I agree.
Id agree that his power is underrated and that he could knock Wilder out, right now im not favouring Fury in this fight but he could, its not an ending that should be ruled out . Fury puts nothing on his punches, they are short and soft and score points. But that doesnt mean he cant put something on them, you see him sit on his hips and plant his feet a bit hes throwing body shots, they are always thrown to do damage. Hes no monster puncher and he knows it which is why he doesnt try to utilize it more but when he wants to he can put plenty of meat on there. Wilders chin isnt great, its not terrible like some say but its not great and ive always said when your weighing what a heavyweight does and you put that weight behind a punch and land something somewhere sweet any heavyweight carries the power to knock out any other heavyweight.
Every trainer (and Roach is Fury's second trainer now, in fact) says that his fighter will win. He would be dumb to say otherwise.
Roach said Pac would knock out... you name it. It's possible, but if Fury wins it's probably by dull 12 round decision.
Very possible. Ortiz had Wilder in all sorts of trouble by string together a few slow punches. Fury can wear Wilder down, zap his strength, then stop him. I wouldn't be surprised if Fury takes away Wilder's resistance with body punches and inside work. Then again, Fury might be a complete disaster.
FFF****!!!!!! Curse of the Roach Was always ranting about Manny by stoppage. Roach even bragged about putting 50$ Manny stoppage in some recent fight lol!!!
With Roach it's always stoppage win predictions my god it's getting ridiculous. Him saying Fury has a harder punch than Wilder is also fairly nutty. Think he's been holding the mitts for Manny too long and forgot what a heavyweight punch is supposed to feel like...
In an interview yesterday(?) Fury said that yes he can bang if he wants to but then when you do that stupid things can happen....in other words he's not hanging about to get tagged when he can win on points...which is fair enough if you have the style, which he does ...but does he still have the stamina 'cos to be on yer toes & poping thats what you need for 12!
He was holding back against Chisora because he liked him yet he still busted him up and was able to end the fight when Peter told him it was time to go home. He can definitely throw hurting blows when he wants to , especially to the body. Ripping Wilder with some stiff shots to the body early would be a good strategy to diminish his speed and explosiveness. Then Fury can undress him until there's nothing left.
Freddie is a very old, ill and confused man. I've not paid attention to anything he's said since about 2007.
