I get why DAZN would want him, but not why his team would recommend he signed at this time when in 12 months time he could be worth far more. Also, if they had signed him, they would want to be shouting about it, they're not, ergo they haven't.

Yeah I understand that, I just don’t understand why they’re using an event happening an event two weeks after, as an excuse as to why they can’t go to Fury/wilder

All of you guys are so wrong about Joshua. We know what type of guy he is. Remember this time
last year with the Robert Mugabe and Eddie
    Chambers situation.

I actually like the real Joshua or Femi. The one we
saw against DOminic Breazeale and Dillian Whyte. I hope Wilder sparks out Fury cold. Then we see Wilder v Joshua in April

And i really want to see Wilder go at Joshua in the Press Conferences.

DAZN would be beyond stupid to not have rights to Joshua. They are not going to to give Hearn all that money without any guarentee in his biggest asset imo.

For arguments sake, let’s say AJ doesn’t have to fight on DAZN next, but can you imagine the conversation Hearn would have to have with the money men of DAZN to explain why he’s allowing him to fight Wilder on Showtime instead in a global money spinner ?

Eddie has failed to deliver the names he promised and is nowhere near from doing so. Infact, the Mikey Garcia’s, Pacquiao, Broner’s etc he has chased are all fighting on PPV now. He’s also under pressure from Golden Boy with Canelo. He simply must keep AJ on DAZN and must be paying him an absolute fortune to compensate him for fighting on an unknown
    app.

And AJ's team would have to be beyond stupid to sell his rights for a fraction of what they could make in a successful PPV. They're not stupid and neither are DAZN. If they had the rights to AJ's fights they'd be telling thw world.

Hearn has said as much in his interviews just after the DAZN announcement. As things stand Wilder AJ is a PPV fight, but DAZN want to be kept informed and may make a play at some point as they did with Canelo. Right now though the price they'd be able to justify for US interest would undervalue AJ's potential earnings. Doesn't make sense to make that deal, yet.

The most I'd expect them to have at this stage is a right to match an offer.

They aren't even letting him go to the fight never mind actually have a fight on a rival network.

Wish I could say time will tell but this fight just isn't happening.

The sooner those belts are off Joshua the better.

AJ v Wilder could happen on showtime it just means showtime will have to pay more than what DAZN would. This won't happen though as that is all dependent on PPV Buys and very high ones at that.

If Wilder v Fury ends up flopping on PPV I don't see showtime being in any rush to make Wilder v Joshua on PPV.

Wilder/Joshua would do well in the USA. The MMA crowd are constantly talking about that fight and they primeapes will buy anything.

Would it? I was told Wilder v Fury would do well.

AJ is still an unknown quantity in America

Does anyone know Hearns whereabouts? I need to ask him if the fight is actually happening this weekend, I have believed Eddie 100% when he has said all along that the fight wont happen but I'm having my doubts now.

I can't imagine that Eddie Hearn would just go out there repeatedly saying the fight wasn't happening if there was even a small chance it would go ahead. That would just be arrogant!
