    Lets not lie to ourselves

Fury winning would hold much more weight Fury is not at his best was inactive for 3 years (not only inactive but abused his body)only had 2 fights against bums BEFORE fighting wilder for the title

You think wilder would of done the same if he was in this position?NO WAY

Point is Wilder is prime at his best never was inactive so if by some chance he wins he beat a Fury who was far from his best?

Fury is up against not so much because of wilder but because of his current state and not having the right timing and being ring rusted

These are the facts anyone who tries to deny this is trolling or a wilder fan boy

That's fair but according to Tyson himself his promoter tried to draw out his comeback with a couple more fights, it was Fury himself who said he was ready to go for Wilder. If Tyson loses this fight because he isn't in top condition or still has some ring rust it's on nobody but Fury himself. Only a rabid Fury fanboy would deny that. Tyson wanted this fight ASAP.

True but Tyson has to stand by his words, they were bold and certain when others doubted them, you doubt them. Frank Warren doubted them. Fury is getting exactly what he asked for. Weather he was ready or not to ask for it, it is here.

The main reasons why me or anyone else who knows the sport would pick Wilder to win, is because of the inactivity of Fury and the fact he cannot be 100% match fit after so long out of the sport and the terrible lifestyle he led. This catches up with most fighters when they approach their 30s too.

If this was purely down to a 100% match fit Fury vs Wilder, this would be a very easy fight to pick the result of. Everyone would be picking Fury by a UD12 to win. Even John Fury has concerns about how "match fit" Tyson is.

    And rightly so.
After the long layoff, the weight issues, doping controversy, and without facing anyone decent since, for Fury it would be confirmation he isn't a one hit wonder and maybe this time here to stay.
If Wilder wins (like expected), there would still be so many questions surrounding Fury that he would never get full credit.
    - Was Fury just a one hit wonder?
    - How much did the doping influence his 2015 performances?
    - Was it a style or a form of the day issue?
    - Was it too early in his comeback?
    - How good is current Fury compared to 2015 Fury? 100%? 90%? 80%? Less?

Wilder is the betting favorite to win the fight.

Its fairly common knowledge that underdogs recieve more credit for a win than favorites do.

Not sure why that should be noteworthy.

Absolutely not. They both deserve full credit, this is anyones fight, stop with the pre-fight excuses may the best man win. The thread starter is the same guy who said time and time again that Fury would school Wilder and that Wilder is a bum, beat no one, has a glass jaw and has no boxing skills. Now all of a sudden you can't come in the day before the fight and say that Fury who by your username is the "GOAT" can't beat a so called bum and if he does he takes full credit for beating a bum. Yet at the same time if Wilder wins he doesn't deserve full credit, it doesn't work like that, you can't have it both ways. You look like a poster who has a clear agenda who can't be taken seriously by doing this. Fury is prime he's 30 he's the best pure boxer at HW he should be able to box circles around Wilder who by you and others have said time and time again that he's a unskilled bum. Tyson Fury himself would be embarrassed to have you as a fan and if he could read this thread.

I think Fury winning would definitely be more impressive considering where he's come from.
Ben Davidson was there to see Furys journey from day 1 and he believes Fury winning would be one of the best wins in the sports history :nusenuse:

Prime active guy in the midst of his prime and form of his life

    vs fighter who

hasn't fought much less beaten anyone with a pulse in 3 years

was inactive for a full 2.5 years (and I mean proper inactive not ticking over in the gym keeping yourself in semi-decent shape)

who abused the hell (emphasis on abused the hell out of) their body all throughout that time with drink, cocaine and junk food (I don't think most of you realize how heavily Fury was drinking and abusing drugs throughout that period)

ballooned up to over 400lbs and then lost 140lbs too quickly IMO (''but Roy was shot to *** after losing a mere fraction of that in 6 months'' lol)

looked like garbage in his 2 tune up 'fights,' both of which came against scrubs, one of who was shot to bits and D level in their prime, the other of which being a CW and in no way, shape or form could that even be classed as a fight. Do you have any idea of the amount of fellow fighters, trainers and people involved in the sport in one capacity of another who are on record saying they don't think Tyson is ready and that he needs more fights? It's a ridiculous amount and that is the general consensus. Even his own father, trainer and brother didn't want him to take this fight yet and wanted him to have at least another six months and at least 2 or 3 more tune up fights (and against quality opposition not bums) to get himself back, or at least as close as is physically possible, to his best and give himself the best chance of winning.

And was battling chronic depression, suicidal thoughts, and even came close to topping himself one night when he took his car out and drove it towards a concrete wall at 180mph.

Again, I don't think many understand quite how ill Fury was during this period and how dark the place he was in. I've watched pretty much all of the interviews of his family members and close friends regarding his depression and psychological state, alcoholism and drug abuse etc. and it was worse than most realize.

People acting like all of this stuff didn't happen and wanting to sweep it all under the carpet is beyond comical. If Donkey wanted more credit for this win he should've waited for Tyson to have more tune ups first so that he could prove that he still had it and was, duh, actually capable of beating world class opposition. But let's just pretend like this is a prime Fury and all that stuff didn't happen shall we lol

All the pre-packaged excuses getting pre-emptively put out there. The reality is dawning on them that Fury has to be lucky the whole fight, Wilder has to be lucky once.
