Gut feeling for me is Wilder goes for it from the off that's the only way he might win.

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if he did. Some have suggested that Tyson might go for an early KO too. Now that would surprise me but it would be hilarious if he actually pulled it off lol

Bouncers at weigh ins used to always be bigger than the fighters, not as much now.

Ye man definatly but they get to that point through training and diet during camp, I can only see two reasons for dehydrating.
The fighter isn’t a natural at the weight or they have cut corners/underestimated the work in camp needed to make weight.
I can see what you are getting at and your right, heavyweights sometimes do like to come in lighter, but coming in at their desired weight is different to having to make weight for the fight to be sanctioned.
So surely in a class with no weight limit it’s better to miss the target weight than to put the body through the stress of rehydrating Just to achieve optimum weight, which would no longer be the optimum weight anyway as the stress of rehydrating would be more damaging to performance than carrying a few extra pounds.

Wilder will never be a popular American athlete because he does that stupid "Booooommmb Squaaaad" scream and wears a mask that no one identifies with.. . .and it's not like he can be a trendsetter with either.
