That's how I see this fight,Gvozdyk gets past the halfway he wins on points or late stoppage.

Stevenson might be 41 y/o but he's a well preserved 41 y/o who had a short amateur career (38 fights. In fact, he's only had 69 fights amateur and pro combined), been involved in very few wars, hasn't fought the most demanding opposition and he still possess the power in that left hand of his to take anyone out if he catches them clean with it. I thought he beat Jack last time out and Jack's one of the best LHWs in the world.

Nathan Cleverly said that Karpency was the hardest puncher he'd fought (a pre Kovalev Cleverly) and Karpency also caught Adonis with a big shot which got his attention and you could see that Adonis was surprised by the weight of it. Karpency might not be a world beater but he's actually pretty skilful and sneaky and given a pretty respectable account of himself against a number of world class opponents.

That said, this is obviously a very dangerous fight for Gvozdyk (and for Stevenson) and he's going to have to be extremely mindful of not getting caught clean by that left hand of Stevenson's. I hope he doesn't paw with his jab and tippy tap punch in this fight because that will leave him open for a big counter. I want to see him move and use the ring but to pump out a more authoritative jab and put a bit more weight behind his shots when he does stop to punch.

So as Stevenson. I would say that Stevenson was even more tense. Maybe just the environment there wasn't too comfortable.

Come on, man, grow up, seriously.
The point is I genuinely didn't know how good Gvozdyk's chin was. I told you guys it wasn't as bad as some people claimed. But in this fight Gvozdyk took some Stevenson's punches flush and he wasn't even knocked down. Well, he was close to being knocked down once, but that was Stevenson he was fighting, wasn't he? Gvozdyk has a very good chin. And he has a bright future. And I'm happy about it.

hilarious posts here. Stevenson ate about 25-30 punches in a row and get's knocked down "LOLOLOLOLOL Glass jaw bum"

Gvozdyk gets hit with a punch that's not even fully on target and is held up by the ropes only "Granite chin!"

I didn't care about the chin, I cared about the skills, and that's all he needed.:deal:
