The sheep in the community saying Wilder Ko or Tyson points haven't watched Wilder and his appalling level of opponents. Wilder will be exposed as the amateur he is. I have a feeling Tyson after 4 rounds will push Wilder on back foot as he knows he can't box. Jab his head off, make him desperate, go Southpaw, confuse him and wobble him like Ortiz did. Wilder couldn't find Szpilka for 9 ROUNDS, you think he's gonna land clean on Tyson? Dream on. Fury by KO in 7 or 8 or if Wilder shows some heart a wide points win for Fury. Wilders' only got a punchers chance.
Do you really believe that (1) Fury gave it everything in those last two fights, and/or (2) he hasn't got sharper and fitter and stronger since?
True the Pianneta fight was not good but with all the sparring, training and big bear Fury has surely got closer to the 2015 version who is way too good for Wilder.
Was the version of Wladimir Fury fought better than the Ortiz Wilder fought? I'm not sure to be honest. He won a lethargic decision where the ref warned him over repeat holding in the Jennings fight. Ortiz then koed Jennings in 7. Jennings was the fight before Fury. I think people have bought the hype with Fury being a good trash talker. This is a 50/50 more than Fury just toying with him.
I think Tyson Fury should win this via stoppage, Deontay Wilder's lack of fundamentals makes him an easy target to be countered, and I also see Fury finding too many chinks in his armor, so I'm expecting Tyson to put on a lot of damage on Wilder while staying relatively safe. As for the round it will happen I have no idea, I would say it's more likeley to be round 7+ than earlier, mostly because Deontay still represents a threat that will need to be managed carefully, and because he has a good fighting spirit.
So many options but missing the one I'd vote for... Still on the fence as I've got doubts. In general and in argument against my expected and logically analysed prediction. That's what makes this fight so intriguing and exciting!
Wilder Leaning big stoppage but starting to think it'll be cagey for quite a while. Maybe goes the distance with Wilder winning the second half to take it comfortably. I just see Fury getting hurt still and Wilder closing the curtains.
Fury by decision. I picked against him against Klitschko and derided his abilities and I was so wrong. I therefore owe him a vote of confidence this time. I really want Tyson to win this but he will have to be a lot better than he looked in the two returns so far. I don’t think I have ever correctly picked the winner of any fight though so perhaps Deontay will blitz him?
I'll remember all you Brits after this is over... ...and trust me, I fancy Wilder less than all of you (which is quite a turnaround from about a year or two ago).
