Nah. That makes no sense at all. Gvozdyk did nothing the first 2 rounds. He looked spent at the beginning of the third breathing super hard. If Gvozdyk was going to the body or pressuring him that would be one thing, but Stevenson was the aggressor. Dude was shot.

I agree about the first two names.

I've never seen evidence that he turned down Haye or bloody Chisora lolol. The way Haye talks about Wilder would suggest sparring didn't go well for him.

Anyway, that was then. And now he's ready to fight when it's most needed. Stop ducking and diving, AJ!

Relax ellerbe, your idol will win this fight. I am a Wilder fan also, just not to the extent you are, but the earlier point about saying stuff like "this will be the best version of Fury" etc, is just desperate. You think everyone else are idiots and can not see what you are really saying?

Fury was away from the game for too long in combination with the damage he did to his body. He might have lost the weight but he can not be match fit enough to deal with an elite fighter like Wilder. Pretty much universally, top boxing trainers are picking Wilder for this reason.

Not to mention, even if Fury WAS in peak match fitness.. Wilder is the worst possible style match up for Fury, he is too athletic and has very long arms himself. Fury likes to showboat and drop his hands, he does it in almost every fight.. that will be his undoing.

To be fair he did look slow and ponderous in his debut against Lewison.

    Luis Ortiz vs. Travis Kauffman

    Round 1: 10-9 Ortiz

Ortiz feeling into the fight, jabbing his right to the body, trying some lefts.

    Round 1 Ortiz 10-9

Luis jabbed the hell out of him throughout, landed a leaping right hook and a left or two, finishes with a combo.

Why would I be disappointed? If I enjoy watching them fight then why would them losing stop me enjoying their next fight? I just can’t really understand why someone would be devestated if a fighter who they don’t know and don’t have any money bet on loses. Seems strange to me to be emotionally invested in that way.
