I think you could argue Wilder was robbed with that long ass count Fury was given for that 2nd knock down
Cool, now explain how you scored rounds for Wilder when he wasn’t landing punches and barely throwing punches. He got his head jabbed off, while landing a handful of occasional jabs to Fury’s body and head. You’re calling people dumb and claiming that you could have scored the fight for Wilder. That is completely wrong, and you haven’t given any argument here for your absurd proposition. Everybody understands that Wilder didn’t need to win as many rounds because of the knockdowns, obviously. The question is where did Wilder win the rounds he needed? He absolutely ****ing didn’t, this was a 100% robbery.
I am being generous here. Wilder max won three rounds the whole fight and looked like an utterly incompetent boxer
So you’re going to rewatch a fight to try and justify what you’ve said, rather than having an honest initial look and having a well thought out argument? You’re an idiot. Obviously every body understands how knockdowns change the scoring.
I see what you're saying but I think peoples beef is if you give DW the two 10-8 rounds you still would have to give him at least 3 more 10-9 rounds for even a draw and the majority of people don't seem to think DW won many rounds if any outside of the two knockdown rounds. I can't really give a good opinion as I did not get to score this fight because I was at a fight party but off the top of my head I thought Fury was winning just about every round and possibly could see maybe another round maybe two for DW outside of the knockdown rounds but that'd be pushing it. Off the top of my head id say Fury won by decision but again I didn't score the fight so I can't really hold myself to that. It may change when I see the fight again. Overall though it was a much better fight than I thought it'd be.
To be fair i can only really be angry about the 115-111 Wilder card. I didnt give Wilder a round other than the knock down rounds, i shared the 1st but Fury took all the rest, the 2 knock downs giving Wilder 2 10-8,s wasnt quitte enough for me. But a couple of rounds were close enough i feel for the "home fighter" the edge if your willing to be swayed by a crowd or what ever sways these judges in America. As i stated in another thread this feels a bit like Canelo GGG 1. Yeah it was close but it was clear enough to pick the correct winner and i just got the feeling that wasnt going to happen, again. 115-111 Wilder just does not sound like an honest card.
I certainly can't. Phil Edward scored it a 113-113 draw. He gave Wilder rounds 1, 6, and 7 most likely because Wilder was the aggressor in those rounds, but that's about it, since Wilder wasn't landing, so with Wilder getting 5 rounds with two 10-8 rounds a draw makes sense. However, there isn't any excuse for Alejandro Rochin giving Wilder rounds 1-4. Round 1 was close, but 2-4 were definitely Fury rounds.
