He wasn’t exposed. We know that this is what Wilder does. He’s a come from behind KO artist. I thought he boxed well. He was smart. After getting tagged he retreated, he didn’t get too reckless and he landed what should have been the killer blow at the end. He was only “exposed” to people who have never seen him box before.
I agree he got exposed. I was a pseudo-fan of Wilder before this fight - knew he couldnt really box but loved that he could get the job done. But after seeing this robbery it’s hard to keep up the pretense. He was schooled severely by a Fury that has been through the emotional and physical wars - most troubling was his absolute lack of ability to adapt. Plan A was not working at all, and he just kept plugging away at it until he got lucky. It’s crazy how he just has that one route to victory. Rinse and repeat. He looked ridiculous in the ring last night. It was a total embarrassment - zero gameplan, no adaptability, no nothing. Just try and whack him. I hate to say it, but the haters were right all along - it’s all been smoke and mirrors and a US/PBC media creation. Admittedly, over 36 minutes he will find the target at some point, but that is almost literally the only thing he does in there. The scorecards have made me livid. And I was indifferent as to who I was cheering for.
It has been known for a very long time now that Wilder is not a very good boxer. So, I don't see how he got exposed.
Lewis is absolutely correct. Wilder is a fraud, and Fury exposed him. A Fury who had essentially been out of real competition for 3 years!
exposed no. I just think Fury is the better fighter. Wilder has that punch and it is fast. So he has that, but eventually he gets beaten..
I been on here trying to keep it real about Wilder for several years. He’s a hype job with a soft resume. I actually thought he would win last night because Fury has been gone for 3 years and looked bad last fight. I was wrong. Fury made it look easy. Only reconfirming what I already knew about Wilder. Imagine if Fury could punch. Wilder would of been gone in 3 rounds. Exposed badly. But that won’t stop propaganda machines in America like espn pushing some narrative of him like a new mike Tyson
His boxing ability wasn't exposed we all knew going into this fight Wilder would get out boxed and easily out boxed, he couldn't outbox Ortiz or even Washington for Christ sake. If anything was exposed it's the idea that Wilder has the ability to win fights on power alone. Sure it's worked so far but against far inferior opposition for the most part the one other good guy he fought in Ortiz has never fought another puncher other than Wilder, so who knows how bad Ortiz's chin is, he is Cuban and they are not known for being sturdy and even Allen stunned him. Wilder's power for all it's hype failed the bail him out and I'm sure if Wilder keeps fighting the top guys we'll see that happen again. We've seen countless big punchers who only have a big punch get exposed time and again and Wilder's just the latest in a long line of fighters that's happened too.
Exactly!! The term "exposed" in this context is almost too kind to Wilder. He has been utterly revealed as the FRAUD many of us have always thought he was. The fact that THIS Fury clearly beat him - a Fury essentially out of REAL competition for 3 years, and having gone through the extreme weight gain and all the rest - shows just HOW utterly limited Wilder is. As you note, if Fury could punch at all, Wilder would have been KTFO within a few rounds. IF his management actually put this JOKE in with Joshua, we'll get to see that.
I think LL meant exposed at the highest level. It looked like a seasoned pro against a novice, which is crazy for two undeated champs. Wilder taking the easy route to a belt was exposed.
