    Wilder-Fury
    Wilder-Ortiz
    Povetkin-Price
    Joshua-Povetkin
    Whyte-Parker
    Chisora-Takam
Haye-Bellew (ok this was a bit farcical since Haye was shot but it was a great shoot-out while it lasted)

Have I missed any? All of those were edge of your seat fights. I was a bag of nerves throughout all of those.

And we still have Whyte-Chisora II and Price-Little to come this month. Some truly awesome HW fights we’ve been treated to this year.

Even Bakole-Hunter was entertaining although it’s not enough to make the list. Just a good fight that was.

I hope Arslan Makhmudov can join the rankings next year too. He is a murderous puncher.

Kownacki - Martin was a real good one. Some others that I really enjoyed:

    Teper - Helenius
    Adamek - Abell
    Allen - Webb
    Szpilka - Wach

Special mention to Dubois - Johnson.

Kownacki vs Martin was a heavyweight FOTY candidate.

Joshua vs Parker was a great chess match.

Millers path of destruction has been a spectacle in itself, as has the ascension of Michael Hunter.

Great to see Helenuis KO Teper. As it was to see Big Country Carman KO fringe contender/rising prospect Simon Kean.

Whyte - Chisora 2 still to come.

2019 will be a great year, kicking off with Kownacki, Miller and Hunter in January.

Completely agree. After Fury beat Klitschko in 2015 there was a lot of talk about a new era at heavyweight. However 2016 and 17 were let downs really, lots of the big scheduled fights did not happen because of failed tests and injuries. I know everyone was really disappointed with the highly anticipated Charr vs Oquendo fight not coming off, but this blip aside all the big fights scheduled have come off.

We have seen more high level contender vs contender fights this year, which wasn't happening before. On top of this all 4 of the title fights have been high standard.

Here's hoping for Whyte and Chisora to continue where they left off and put the cherry on what has been a fantastic year for heavyweight boxing!

This is without doubt a golden era of HW boxing. Every tier is stacked. You even have the second raters headlining PPVs.

I left Joshua-Parker out the list intentionally. Thought it was a let down.

Usyk, Hrgovic, Kownacki, Kuzmin, Joyce will next year be joining the top tier of Fury, Joshua, Povetkin, Ortiz, Pulev. There'll be some great match ups in 2019 no doubt

The only fight worth note you listed was Fury vs Wilder, which had a terrible decision

This year is not even comparable to say, 1974, in which Foreman vs Norton, Foreman vs Ali and Ali vs Frazier 2 happened.

Or 1935, which had Braddock vs Baer, Louis vs Carnera and Louis vs Baer?

What about 1951, in which Walcott vs Charles 3, Marciano vs Rex Layne and Marciano vs Joe Louis happened?

    Not comparable

What do you not understand about the phrase “one of the best ever”? Gtfo with your negativity if you can’t appreciate these fights. Dosser.
